Purrrrr & Meow -- Bye Bye to CA
The time has finally come and I'm moving away from my comfortable home and heading to Branson, MO.
I see boxes piling up, things being packed away, and I wondered what was going on. I've seen this before and when these things begin to happen, I know I'll be going for a ride - and I don't like traveling at all. Meowwww....
I know I will be taken care of and I will be safe, but I would rather not have my routine disturbed.
I am told I will love my new home - that there's a big, beautiful deck for me to spend my days in the sun and that there are birds, squirrels, wild turkeys, even raccoons, whatever they are, and that I'll have lots of fun "hunting" from a safe distance.
I have lots of friends in Branson & that's a good thing.
My mom & dad are excited about moving. I know they seem a lot happier now than they have for a while and that makes me happy! Purrr...... I really can't complain. I'm so spoiled. Well, that's as it should be as I am, after all, a princess.
I'll write again when I'm settled in my new home and tell you how the trip went and if I like it in Branson.
Wishing all my friends in CA purrs, head butts, belly rubs & long, leisurely naps in the sun.
Princess

I'm so glad I belong to Catster. I am making lots of new friends and have been invited to join several groups. My social calendar is so full - I need a secretary.
I overheard mom and dad talking and it seems we won't be moving to Branson until spring. That's a good thing. I don't think I would like this stuff they call snow. I am looking forward to my new home. Mom says they will buy a house with a nice porch so I can go outside & sleep in the sun.
More later.

This is my last Christmas in CA. I'm eager to see my new home and so nice that I have friends there waiting for me. I have been delighted to receive notes from them with Christmas wishes. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside - I'm already all warm and fuzzy outside!!
I am so spoiled. I've been dining on talapia lately and just love it.
I love getting under the covers at night and snuggling with my mom and dad.
I am a little nervous about the trip to Branson, but I know I will be well cared for.
I miss my friend, Freckles, and so wish he could be with us, but he has a new home now. We will always love and miss him. Maybe mom and dad will get me a new puppy when we get to Branson - I'd like a wolfdog - nobody would mess with me with him around. I refuse to share my home with another cat, but a dog would be nice. Meow! Purrrrrr....
More later.

Princess always had to share the limelight with other cats - Lucifer, Tommy, and Tommy 2 - also her best friend, our dog, Freckles, but the others have gone their ways for various reasons and now Princess alone remains.
Though she always enjoyed her friends (especially Freckles, the most wonderful dog that ever lived), Princess is now very content, indeed thriving as our "only child." She is becoming more and more social - sitting on our laps, sleeping between us (or at least trying to), and she has begun recently begging for food at the dinner table. Does she get anything? Of course.
She is the ruling power in our home, but is very gracious - allows us to stay here, feed her, pet (worship) her, etc.
Princess has had to move around a lot with us and it wasn't always easy on her - in fact, at one point, she was very stressed and lost so much weight, I really thought we were going to lose her. In the past year, however, she has thrived and is HUGE! I am somewhat concerned about our upcoming move to Branson, MO, but we will take good care of her and she'll be fine - she will love her new home in the country.
