Arrival Story:
I was living in Redlands, CA in a small apartment and one day I looked out and saw this beautiful cat walking through the lillies which were in bloom. I wondered why such a beautiful animal was walking around outside all alone. I asked around and found out she belonged to the apartment manager who didn't want this cat, so I asked if I could have her and she said yes. I cannot imagine anyone who would be willing to give up this gorgeous cat, but I was so happy to have her. When she came to live with us, we had two other cats, Lucifer and Tommy. Lucifer is no longer with us - had to put him down due to age - and Tommy has a new home. Princess has had lots of adventures, traveling from CA to AZ to NE to TN and now back to CA. She made some good friends along the way. Her best friend was our wonderful dog, Freckles. He's no longer with us because we had for find him a new home, unfortunately, and we miss him terribly, but Princess is thriving here in Simi Valley, CA. Miss Kitty's next big adventure will be moving to Branson, MO. Our house will have a nice big porch so she can sun herself - perhaps a tree she can sit in from time to time - lots of new exploring to do, but mostly inside. She will hate the trip, but she will love her new digs!! There will be more adventures ahead and she will be with us all the way and will always be pampered because she's royalty!!

Bio:
We don't know exactly how old she is or her actual birthday, so we chose July 4th and have estimated her age with the help of a vet.

Princess is playing and happy at the Rainbow Bridge

We haven't updated in a long time. Princess has been living very happily in our little cabin in the woods in MO. She had a seat in front of the window so she could soak up the sun and enjoyed watching the birds.
A few months back, our Princess developed breathing problems. She saw her doctor a number of times and we tried everything we could to make her better, but nothing seemed to help.
When it got to the point that she could no longer eat or drink and she got so thin, we realized it was no longer about us; it was about her suffering and we knew we had to do the unthinkable. Making that call to the vet was one of the hardest things I have ever done.
I will never forget after the doctor gave her the shot and I was holding her, how she turned her head and looked into my eyes for the longest time - and it was peaceful and almost like a thank you. She went to sleep very peacefully.
We miss her terribly, never thought we would have a time without our Princess - it just never occurred to us she would one day be gone. She had a happy and adventurous life and did lots of traveling.
We look forward to the dav we will meet her again at the Rainbow Bridge.

My Next Adventure

Purrrrr & Meow -- Bye Bye to CA
The time has finally come and I'm moving away from my comfortable home and heading to Branson, MO.
I see boxes piling up, things being packed away, and I wondered what was going on. I've seen this before and when these things begin to happen, I know I'll be going for a ride - and I don't like traveling at all. Meowwww....
I know I will be taken care of and I will be safe, but I would rather not have my routine disturbed.
I am told I will love my new home - that there's a big, beautiful deck for me to spend my days in the sun and that there are birds, squirrels, wild turkeys, even raccoons, whatever they are, and that I'll have lots of fun "hunting" from a safe distance.
I have lots of friends in Branson & that's a good thing.
My mom & dad are excited about moving. I know they seem a lot happier now than they have for a while and that makes me happy! Purrr...... I really can't complain. I'm so spoiled. Well, that's as it should be as I am, after all, a princess.
I'll write again when I'm settled in my new home and tell you how the trip went and if I like it in Branson.
Wishing all my friends in CA purrs, head butts, belly rubs & long, leisurely naps in the sun.

Princess

I Have So Many Friends

I'm so glad I belong to Catster. I am making lots of new friends and have been invited to join several groups. My social calendar is so full - I need a secretary.
I overheard mom and dad talking and it seems we won't be moving to Branson until spring. That's a good thing. I don't think I would like this stuff they call snow. I am looking forward to my new home. Mom says they will buy a house with a nice porch so I can go outside & sleep in the sun.
More later.
