The day I almost died

Fat and Happy

I'm getting a break from my insulin shot for a couple of days. My best friend took me to the vet today for a check up and the doctor said that I may not need shots anymore. I have to have my blood sugar tested in a few days to see how my body is doing. Wish me luck!!!!!

I used another one of my lives

I was told about 4 months ago that I have to have insulin shots every single day. It is not fun. My owners are getting better about drawing blood to test my sugar. Last weekend, I did a stupid thing. I didn't eat after I got my shot and the next morning, I had a seizure. My blood sugar dropped to low. My familey was so scared that I was about to die. They made me eat honey to get my sugar back up fast. I was really weak and for a day and a half, I could only stumble in circles.
I'm feeling better now. I sure hope that doesn't happen again!

I'm Alive!

About 2 months ago I got sick. My owner asked the vet about getting me "fixed" when I was around 5 years old. The vet didn't want to because of my size and age. Well, I got an infection and had to be "fixed" The vet didn't think I would live through the night but I proved them wrong! It was hard to wake up from the surgery. Everyone was so happy when I was complaining the next morning because they had not feed me in over 24 hours! I have started to put on weight and fill out now and I feel good!
