Arrival Story: I already had one cat and lived in a two cat household. One evening I went to the pet store, and they had a display of overflow kittens from the humane society. I was having a bad week, so I thought playing with a kitten would cheer me up and be good for the cat. While all the other kittens were jumping on her, Scout seemed like the underdog. She was extremely tiny and when I held her, she slept contentedly on my chest, purring loudly until I decided that she was too sweet to leave with all the other rambunctious street cats.

Bio: Things were rough going at first. The kitten had a laceration in her mouth and ring worm, which caused a huge patch of fur on her side to fall out. After over $500 in vet bills and two annoyed brothers, she got better. While she was cuddly at first, this kitten quickly proved that she was willing to fight to get what she wanted. She also outed herself as the mouthiest little cat I have ever met. Her scrappy verbosity earned her the name Scout, after the narrator of "To Kill a Mockingbird" , and even though she's not as affectionate as her brothers, she is still a delightful, beautiful little girl.
