Arrival Story: I had talked with a woman who volounteered as a cat rescue home, and helped find homes for cats and told her I was interested in a black cat or calico cat (preferrably kitten) if she found one. Then within 3 days she called me and told me of a family who was moving THAT day and had two black/calico kittens and if they didn't find homes they'd go to the pound. I went and fell immediately in love with the little fur ball that f it into the middle of my palm, and took her home. It turned out that she was too young to be weaned and so I became her surrogate mother, feeding her with an eyedropper for two weeks and then moving her on to solids. We bonded strongly, and at times my family refers to her as me and me as her, or us as twins. It turned out that our birthdays are the same day, which explains why we're so alike in personality as well.

Bio: Meow, originally named Tempest, because she was a fiesty little fluff-ball that was black, gray, and tan sworled colors when I first got her also had the eye color of the sea during a storm. She didn't know how to meow, so I had to teach her by meowing at her, and training her to meow.. and eventually that just became what everyone called her.. Meow or Meow-Meow. She's lived with me since she was a tiny tiny kitten and has put up with many other pets in our household, she has a place of distinction, and is quick to remind everyone of it. She still has the temper of a Tempest when upset by something, but otherwise is a very loving and loyal kitty to those she's come to know. She's quite shy to strangers.
