Been a While

Wow... we really don't get in here much! Totally missed our fourth anniversary last month!

Well, a quick update on things... mama just added our brother to Catster so check him out. She's only got a main pic up right now, but will likely add a few others later. He was cute when he was little.

I'm getting along fairly well with the others still. I actually try to like Rat, but he's just a meanie a lot of the time. ;)

For those who can offer them, I'd ask for purrs for me though. I've lost two pounds (I'm at @8 now). I'm on icky Clavamox and some kind of pill mama calls Sammy gets shoved down my throat every day. I'm eating, drinking, playing, everything normal... except I feel like a feather to mama... mol!! She says my bowling ball is beginning to resemble a softball. ~pouts~ I've never been THAT fat!!! Humph...

Little Sisters

Well, I guess little sisters are ok. I'm bigger than Gaia which is cool. She's fun to chase. But... she got a cold and gave it to me!!! She was at the vet on Monday. I had to go today. It's almost 100 degrees outside and mama's AC doesn't work in the car. She had all the windows down and the vents blowing, but I've got a LOT of fur. I was drooling like a saint bernard by the time we got there! She took me out of my carrier and sat with me right up under the air vent when we went in and dried my fur a bit with some tissues. I wouldn't drink any water, but I was very thankful for that vent! I didn't drool much at all on the way home so I was pretty dry by the time I got back. I've got pills to take and I'm too smart for mama to put them in food or treats so mama's going to have a wrestling match in the morning... mol!!!

OMC! Anniversary!

Oh wow... we totally missed getting our second candle on our pages! Thanks to TweeKee's mom for jogging our mama's memory so she came in to see our candles! Plural! Candles now! Yay!!

Now to wait for Henry's two year and Gaia's first year anniversaries to roll around... mol!!

Gotcha Day!

Four years ago today, October 31, 2005, mama and Joe started the trip to get me. It was four hours up a little winding road up the side of the mountain to Yancey County, North Carolina. After an hour of paperwork and some tests, we came back down... the interstate! Mama hadn't known it was there... NEVER trust map websites!! But my grampa Joe was up to the trip and I made it safely home with my mama and got to meet my new sisters!

I know I have a very special angel watching over me. Tigger. She passed away October 2, 2005 and mama knew she just had to have another tortie in her home. When she was ready, she knew the kitty would be named Tiger Lilly, both for colouring and in memory of Tigger. I was already named Lilly (though with one l at the time) and I was the most beautiful thing mama had seen! Then, she'd never seen a cat with a split face like mine.

She thought at first she'd made a mistake. You see, when I came out and she picked me up, I started growling at her. And I was clawing the chair. Well, I've demolished the front of the recliner, but mama doesn't really care. And I'm STILL not much for being held... I'll growl and stuggle after a few seconds. BUT I am the ULTIMATE lap kitty! I love to lay on mama and will stay there for ages, getting up for litter visits, food and/or water and returning quickly!

Mama saved the pictures off the shelter site (found through PETFINDER!) but not the one off petfinder, so she doesn't have the one that is the specific one she fell in love with, but she has the rest!

Forgot to put this... I had been at the shelter for 10 months!! Almost a whole year that my beauty was unable to be appreciated far and wide!! Thank you Catster for letting me be able to share... me!!

I Licked Her!

Well, sorta... kinda... came close...

Mama has started coming out with Gaia when she's got a compress on. She still won't let us really get close to her because of her cold, but she wrapped her so her tail was poking out and invited each of us up for a sniff. Taillee sniffed and sniffed, then hissed and got down. Kittanna sniffed and sniffed and decided to reserve judgment at this point. Zilla wouldn't get in mama's lap, she just hissed and did that breathing thing she does when she smells something she doesn't much like. Me, I'm the GOOD one!! FOR ONCE!! I got in mama's lap and sniffed her tail and started to lick her. Mama put her finger on my head and told me no. She's worried Gaia's still too contagious for us to have any real contact at all. But I tried several times to lick her tail then laid down in mama's lap! Mama hopes the licking isn't a prelude to me trying to eat her or anything... hehehe...

In Memory

We don't have a picture to put up today, but we're sending many purrs and lots of love in memory of those lost 9/11/2001. Our hearts go out to their friends and families.
