 Quick Bio:
 Coloration: Sable

Likes: Being adored. Hearing "Kate!" whispered rapidly 5x in a row (she'd crouch down, chase her tail a few times then run off when we did that). Curling up with her sister, Zada. "Playing" the violin (or at least attacking the bow while I played). Water.

Pet-Peeves: Any foolish or stupid behavior. Having her fur brushed in the wrong direction. Being away from Zada (or Zada's kittens).

Favorite Toy: Violin bow. Water dripping from the faucet and filling up the sink.

Favorite Nap Spot: In the sink (with or without water). In my violin case.

Favorite Food: Seafood

Skills: Teleportation, or so it seemed. Opening up cupboards and closing the doors behind her.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: The first day I moved into my first apartment, I went looking through New Orleans for a stray cat in need of a home. I found Kate and her sister, Zada, in a dumpster by a cemetery. They were the perfect godsends to be my very first cats; exactly what I and my roommate always wanted.

Bio: Kate was a dignified old soul, very regal and intelligent, a bit snooty but affectionate and sweet. She was quirky: she loved playing in water (even just sitting in a pool of it!), she liked to "read" with me (she'd sit on my chest facing the book and stare at it, helping me turn the pages and would even put her paw out to stop the page turning if she wasn't "done reading" yet). She was also unusually quiet considering her breed background. Of course, with a sister who talked all the time, she probably just couldn't get a word in edgewise. She could charm anyone with her poise and beauty and warmth. She was an excellent auntie to Zada's kittens, and enjoyed teaching the little ones everything she could. She was often the calm amidst the storm for me; nothing could stress me out once she curled up to purr in my lap. It's been many years since she pranced over the Rainbow Bridge, and I still miss her very much. She wasn't my baby, she was my equal in every way, my confidante and friend. She will forever be in my heart as one of the most cherished souls I've ever known in this world.
