Black and White

He enjoys talking to his "Ghosts". He will all of a sudden look up at the ceiling and meow this loud meow. We always asked him who he saw and who he was talking to.

Right now? The other animals in my place.

Favorite Toy:
Not really a toy cat.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Under the bed or on the bed, he has a special towel on the bed for him.

Favorite Food:
Soft food with Gravy. I add water to it to help him stay hydrated.

He sees dead people!

Arrival Story:
Carma is Bethany's & Alila's brother. He is also Father/Uncle to Martha & Mary. I know... that is bad. I didn't get Bethany fixed in time. ARRIVAL STORY: After losing 2 beloved cats to premature death (Hope & Aspen) by automobile, I was absolutely heartbroken. I went out to find a new kitten and found an add for 3! We went to the house that had the 3 kittens and there were 3 black & white little tikes romping around. Carma was the only male out of the trio. However, I took all three. All three of the kittens had really bad earmites, and Carma's was the worst. It was hard trying to get to know these fearful little kittens when I had to put medicine in their ears morning and night for several weeks and clean them out everyday. I also needed to give them antibiotics for a couple of weeks as well. Carma was the most skittish of the three. Bethany was the bravest (and craziest).

Luckily, when I had to adopt out many of my cats, my mother agreed to take two of them. My mother chose Carma and Nala (The Queen). He does not know my voice anymore though and so now I am just another stranger to run away from. My mother can give me photos of him though and I will always know how he is and what he and Nala are doing.

Carma Goes on Vacation::
Kind of. Carma is staying with me for about 6 months as of 2 days ago. His humans have gone on winter vacation in Florida, and we thought that at his advanced age and low stress threshold that it would be best for him not to travel. Instead of him staying at home alone all winter (his mate, Nala died recently) with us checking on him every other day, he is staying with us. I worried about my 2 cats at home when agreeing to this. Will they be mean to gentle Carma? Surely Solace would go after him. He is not known to behave like his name suggests. Two days later, I have a much better idea of what is going on, and how things are progressing for Carma. I will try to keep his page up to date during this visit. This has always been a task.

Away from Home (Part 1)

This is Carma's first time away from home in 10 years! 2 days ago, Carma was dropped off with a rubbermaid full of food, and a shopping bag of treats and canned food. He also came with his own litterbox and several bags of his own cat litter. I have 2 cats already, but we did not want to change too much about Carma's life while he was staying with me. He even has his own room! He has displaced my rotund Siamese cat, Banshee from her nap spot under the guest bed. He has hissed at both cats, the dog, and started coming out from under the bed that same evening! Everyone (Cats that is) has a pherimone collar, and there is a difuser in his room and the living room. I plugged it in the night before Carma was to arrive. My cats surprised me with there chill attitudes as Carma was introduced to their environment. Especially with Solace as he has proven in the past to be nasty when other cats have ended up in our apartment before. Carma was quiet his first nigh. Did he get back to his routine late night yowling on the second night?
