My sweet Nakita is today's DOTD and I could not be more PROUD!! Congratulations, beautiful girl! I am kind of a doofus, I know... I mean, sheesh. I just stopped by with my pressies this morning, not even KNOWING you are today's reigning Diary Queen! My whole family noticed before I did as I cluelessly went over to your house, and they are all laughing at me... MOL! I suppose it is because I get so distracted whenever I gaze into your gorgeous green eyes... *sigh* Yep. I'm hopelessly in love....
Do you still love your bashful doofus, "G"??? MOL MOL!

To all of my friends, human, feline and canine... thank you all for your kindest wishes for my issue with calcium oxalate crystals. I was X-rayed on Friday and although I have those bad crystals, I do NOT have stones!! YIPPIEE!! So we're working on diet therapy, pain relievers and holistic medicine. Oh... and LOTS of Feliway! MeWOW! That is great stuff! Thank you all for being so kind and holding me in your thoughts and purrssss.... *sigh* I'm still peeing where I shouldn't be... but we're working toward my not doing this any more!
And... MeWOW!! MANY MANY thanks to your kindest thoughts for my DDP honor on Friday 2/26! Woooohoooooo!! I will get back to each and every one of you who sent pmails and sweet gifts to me... I am so very appreciative!

What an honor and what a delightful surprise to wake up and find that I'm a DDP winner today! Thank you HQ, and special thanks for recognizing the importance of pursuing justice for both Muppet and Eve! Please read my diary and help my little sister's cause and my sweet Nakita's sister Muppet's cause!
I'm taking a trip in my Port-a-Jail this morning to be X-rayed... purrrrring that I don't have stones, purrrrrring that I will be able to avoid surgery. Updates to follow!

I dedicate this diary entry to my girl Nakita and my sister Eve, who I've never met. Nakita is MUPPET'S sisfur. I swiped this beautifully written entry from Muppet's DDP award winning diary today in order to crosspost and get the word out. CONCATS sweetheart! Please read and help:
Dear Diary,
I did it again! I crawled up in meomy’s lap while she was watching the TV and fell asleep. I had no idea that this would make her so happy! *giggles*
Meomy hung up a new photo in my room. The Flock case hit the newspapers once again, but this time to talk about the very sad dismissal and how the DA is trying to appeal it.
As with every other article that meomy and I have been directed to speaking about the rescue, this one today had some mistakes in it too. (we should be used to it - sighs) Gina, from the Pahrump Valley Times, (PVT) did a very good job writing the story. The three things that meomy and I want to straighten out however are:
On the front page there’s a picture of CG, Cover Girl. Sheila, from Shadow Cats in Texas, took several Leukemia+ cats home to live with her and her veterinarian hubby. Troy Snow, a former Best Friend’s photographer, snapped a photo of CG in June when he and four others from Best Friends in Utah came out to Flock to investigate what Denise and meomy were stating about the conditions of the cats. This picture a bit later went around the globe hitting lots of news stations and newspapers. She soon became known as ‘Cover Girl‘, the poster child of the Great Kitty Rescue. - In today’s paper the caption underneath CG’s photo states that it was ‘Denise’ who named and took CG home to live with her. It was Sheila from Shadow cats. (blows Sheila a kiss)
Next, the newspaper article states that, “Whistleblowers Denise and Cheryl, who first alerted Animal Control to the conditions at the so called sanctuary……………….” and “McCarty was instrumental in finding Best Friends, whose volunteers, joined by Pahrump volunteers…………….”
The facts are that Denise contacted McCarty at Animal Control on June 5th and meomy contacted Best Friends in Utah also on June 5th. The end of June, Best Friends finally answered meomy’s cries for help and sent some people to investigate. These people then went to our Animal Control and made a plan where in mid July Best Friend’s could take over the sanctuary until the rescue was complete. Enough said, meomy is just tired of the wrong statements being made.
And on this note, and the main reason for my diary entry, we are asking all of our Catster friends to please write a letter to our District Attorney, Bob Beckett, letting him know how outraged every animal lover is that his office failed to properly see that there was justice for Flock. Although he has filed an appeal, we want Bob Beckett to know just how many eyes are upon him and how he better not let his office mess it up this time! Meomy was told that this case was ‘purposely hidden so the outcome would be a dismissal.’ And in today’s paper it states, “Beckett’s notice of appeal was filed yesterday. Gibson (General Council for FLOCK) said that surprised him because he and Beckett had struck a deal that the case would go no further.” Struck a deal? Humph!!
If everyone who cares about this case could please write a 'snail mail' letter to Bob Beckett, it could really help this case a lot. We need a flood of mail to come in. And thank you to everyone who already have sent letters! *grateful hugs*

*sighs*
My embarrassing moment(s) are when I pee where I'm not supposed to. Mom had my pee sample analyzed and I have calcium oxalate crystals. WHAAAATTTT?!?!?! CALCIUM OXALATE? no.... no no no. This means I may have calcium oxalate stones, which do NOT dissolve with diet therapy. Struvite stones DO dissolve with diet therapy; which 4 of my 7 siblings have had. We're frustrated; WHY do st0ne occurences keep happening in my family, when mom d0es all that she can to avoid this?? This makes a frustrating 5 of 7 kitties in one family with stones/crystals.
Growls unhappily, trying to keep mom happy, trying not to pee everywhere... she knows surgery is the only remedy for this; we're trying to be pawsitive...

OMC… somepurr please keep me company, tomorrow night is the scariest night of all, and I just got spooked! Somebody left me an anonymous SCARY jack o lantern with this note:

WHO could this be?? Hm. That *giggle* sounds awfully familiar! Well, I did purromise my friend MUPPET that I’d purrtect her from all of the big scary orange things at her house, but…. well, to be honest, I’m a bit afraid of them myself! (*WHISPERS* don’t tell her I’m really a big fraidy cat!) I wonder if my ’KITA SWEET’A will keep me company over Halloween weekend so that I won’t be so frightened?

My sweet Nakita is going blind. Here is an excerpt from her sister MUPPET'S diary:
Nakita is still limping, so it looks like she may need an x-ray of her leg. *sighs for our kitty doc as Nakita is a wiggle worm to the max* She was diagnosed last week with a possible sprained or fractured ‘wrist’ and as having macral-degeneration of her eyes. That is why she recently has been acting like super kitty, and believing that she can dive off of too high of places. She’s going blind and apparently she has lost her depth perception. I kept telling her that she didn’t have a magic flying cape on, but she wouldn’t believe me! Humph! If any other fur has had to deal with this condition, meomy would appreciate to know what supplements and other things can be done to slow it’s progression. *thanks*

*hums a tune as he goes back to his room…..* STOPS. Hmmmm. I sense a presence? NAKITA?? I like to call her ‘Kita my sweet’a. :) *looks around* Hmmmm. I just *FEEL* that my ‘Kita girl has been here… HOW could I have missed her? I am really not as clueless as I come across… I know mom’s been sidetracked with my sisfur Odie, but that is no excuse to not notice that my ‘Kita girl has been here! She’s left her magic touch!
‘Kita, thank you for taking the time to visit and purr for Odie, you are such a LUV! Odie is feeling your strong energy and we are sure she’ll be able to avoid surgery. We’re sending ALL of our purrrssss to li’l MUPPET as well, constantly; along with additional purrrsss for sweet SAMPSON for having gone through this very ordeal.
*Sets a vase of flowers on the table, and rushes off to invite Nakita over~~ *blushes and stammers* I love you, my girl!
