   Leave a treat for Dakota

Nicknames:
Dakota Joe, Yuvy Boy

Likes:
Long walks on the beach... No what I meant to say was, exploring our fourth floor balcony endlessly, being chased around the apartment and chasing toys around the apartment jumping on(and sometimes over) any obstacles in the way.

Pet-Peeves:
Being touched when he is cleaning himself, people sneezing

Favorite Toy:
Those things you use to put your hair in a pony tail.

Favorite Nap Spot:
We just moved so at the moment he spends most of his sleepy time on or under the futon or in a box stashed in my closet filled with clothes I am too lazy to unpack.

Favorite Food:
Fancy Feast (Salmon and Oceanfish are his flavors of choice. Note: Proper serving technique involves singing "Fancy Feast, Fancy Feast, Dakota loves his Fancy Feast" to the theme Elaine sings on Seinfeld i.e. Yankee Bean, Yankee Bean etc

Skills:
He has ups like you would not believe. If I had his jumping ability I could slam dunk a basketball with my feet on the way down. He stands up when given treats and he is very good at swatting foreign objects when tossed in his general direction.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Actually, Dakota was first brought into my life when I met the love of my life Melissa. She had him for several years before she went to college. At that time he stayed with her parents, but eventually when we moved into our first cat friendly apartment over 5 years ago he became our one and only child.

Bio:
Dakota is very inteligent. He is the feline alarm clock. Every morning he nibbles on either your head or any limbs within visible sight approximately 5 minutes before the alarm clock goes off. He even understands the concept of the weekend and thus refrains from waking us up until he feels we have had enough sleep. **Dakota has just been diagnosed with Diabetes. Unfortunately it was caught in the late stages so we (mom and dad) shed a lot of tears and we had a rough time in kitty ICU. Luckily, he's back home now and getting better by the day...don't know what we would do without our yuvey boy.***A year and a half later and Dakota is going strong. No stupid insulin needle will keep this vivacious feline down.
