Arrival Story:
Wiyaka is "The Girl Who Lived." I tried to get a companion for Oomi when he was a few months old. I got the beautiful Boudicca, but she succumbed to a disease when she was only 4 months old. Many months later, I got Nonomae, but he also passed away from illness at just 4 months. I was afraid to get another kitten, but Nonomae's sister was alive and well and was still available, so I agreed to take her. I got her at just over 4 months, which is longer than ideal for bonding purposes, so she sometimes has trouble accepting pets and rubs, though she is very affectionate with following me around and playing. Most of all, she is happy and healthy and learning to let go and get petted and scratched. Wiyaka is funny and loves to be a part of things. She talks with us in her funny serval chirps and loves anything new that can be played with. She recently went down one life after somehow getting a hold of a toy (that was locked away!) and swallowing a piece of it. So now she has an extra long scar in her tummy to match the one in my savings account!
