Just getting around is a skill when you have CH.

Arrival Story:
I foster kitties for Kindred Kitties of Kenosha, WI., and these wonderful boys were born in my house on 7-7-07. Their Mama, Lelo, is also looking for a forever home, and it would be wonderful if she could be adopted with one of her babies. These three boys have CH, which is short for Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a condition where they were born with a portion of their cerebellum underdeveloped or missing. The cerebellum is the part of the brain that controls fine motor skills, so these boys walk funny, fall down alot, and have wobbly heads and bodies. They all have a mild to moderate form of this condition, with Lucky Horseshoe being the worse. They have no problem using the litterbox or getting around the house, and they are very much "normal" kittens. Their condition should not get any better or worse, and they should have a normal life span with no extra medical care needed.

Because of their condition, these boys CANNOT be declawed, and they need a home where there are carpeted stairs or where access to the stairs can be blocked. Because they use their claws to pull themselves up, they are a little hard on furniture. They are also a little messier in and around the litter box. They are very sweet, good natured boys, and they deserve a happy, loving home. Please p-mail me if you are interested in adopting one or more of these wonderful boys. Also, see our shelter site at UPDATE: Little Lucky Ducky has been adopted and has his own Catster page!!! His new name is Stewie and his ID# is 664466. Now we just need to find homes for his wonderful little brothers. UPDATE: Lucky Horseshoe and Charm were adopted together on 11-18-07 at Petco. Their foster Mama is sad, but she knows they went to an excellent home, and was thrilled that they went together. Now we just need to get their Mama Lelo adopted. UPDATE: Lelo was adopted in the summer of '08. She has been renamed Matilda, and her new Mama just adores her. UPDATE: Lucky Horseshoe (Jack-Jack) died in March '10 after ingesting a string. His Mama was devestated and his brother missed him very much.
