My Tail of Devotion for Aunt Sue (1990-2006)

In June of 2004, I was very sick and was scheduled for surgery in the afternoon. The day before i went in for surgery, Aunt Sue also got sick, and had to spend the night at the emergency vet. the morning of my surgery, i picked her up, and took her over to my regular vet for a check up. By this time, she was acting fine and normal, and my vet gave her the A-OK. I went in for my surgery, and week long hospital stay, with friends checking up on her everyday. I was so worried about her, at a time when i was fighting for my own life.
This was the second time i had a major surgery, and she got sick right before i was scheduled to go in the first time as well. Both times she was at the emergency vet overnight, both times my vet could find nothing wrong with her the following day.
I think she was aware of my health issues, and it was her "sympathic pains." It was alsmost like we were siamese twins (joined at the heart, obvioulsy!) , only neither of us are siamese, and we aren't twins!

This is a special Tail of Devotion

i'm sorry i had to leave you mom, but i feel better where i am now, and i can play with Lucy and Charlie. and we see you. you can't see us, but we are there, watching over you.
please know that i feel alright now. and i am going to stay right here and wait for you and watch over you and Grumpy. And when it's your turn to go to the light, we'll all be together again, and it will be wonderful.
I love you, Mom!
Thanks for a great life!

I'm old, and I'm tired! stop trying to force things down my throat. I don't want to eat, i just want to sleep. Mom, you are going to have to get used to the idea that i won't be here forever. but i also want you to know you have been a good cat mom to me. you made my life very comfortable, and fed me all the right food. you took me to the doctor when i wansn't feeling well, and although i didn't like to go there, you always brought me home. you rubbed my tummy when it hurt. and you let me sit on your lap when i needed your warmth. i love you mom. and when it's time for me to cross that bridge, you will never be alone. i'll be there and wait for you, for however long it takes. and i will watch over you, and i will be your special angel.
