Hey every cat and dog,
Sorry I haven't been online as much. Sometimes mom gets too many tears in her eyes because of my sister cat and brother dog went goodbye not long ago.
I am being a good boy and not eating any toxic things. I still make the oven go beep just to get attention.
Speaking of attention, I love lying on my mom's lap lately. She has a massager pillow and it sounds just like a cat purr. I think it's a human purr. Or she's part cat. Anyhow, when she turns it on, I'm a big cuddle bug. I lie there for longer than I ever have. It means a lot to mom because my sister cat isn't there to cuddle with anymore.
I like to play with my sister dog Sienna a lot. She paws a me but I'm not afraid of her one bit. She and I are buds. We sleep next to each other a lot on the queen bed. Or I take over her dog bed. She shares it.
Mom got me a new laser pointer and I love it! I played so hard the first few nights, so much so that I panted! Like a dog. I promise I'm still a cat. I ran in circles and jumped up the wall and everything. It was a blast. Get it out again right now, mom!!!

Mom realized I haven't even posted anything about my cat sister. A few weeks ago my sister Heather went to the bridge. She had a blood clot to her brain. It was sudden. Just the day before we had been playing and having fun. I will miss her.
I have been a little more needy to the humans and less frisky without my chasing buddy. I think she was annoyed with me when i did that but I sure miss it.
Mom says we can't get another cat because we just got a new dog. I like my sister Sienna but I'm not sure about the bearlike dog. At least she doesn't chase me like she does with the other cats in the neighborhood.
Anyhow, we're a little sad here.

There's gotta be a mix-up. There is supposed to be a new DOG in my family, but all I see is a little bear cub. She doesn't eat berries but she did try to eat my fish. She growls a little but doesn't bark. I am pretty sure she's a bear. She likes to cozy up in dark places like a cave. This is NOT good. If she's a bear cub, her mom might try to find her and then eat me. If she stays and grows up, she might try to eat me. And I've had enough time at the vet lately. I do not need anymore close calls. I better go dial the wildlife control. If you want you can look at my family pic and see if you think she is a grizzly or a black bear. Or a polar bear with a bad dye job.

Hey kitties,
I'm home!!! After all my TLC at the vet, I finally came home. The blood test results last night were ok so I was released. I will get checked again in one week.
I came home this afternoon and scarfed down a snack. Triple my usual amount of treats. Then I got a big dinner. Mom thinks I look thin. Then I gave myself a tongue bath, napped, ate more, napped, and peeked into my toy box to see if there was anything new. Nope.
I feel kinda dumb since almost every cat on catster knew that lilies were toxic. I better hang out here more, you guys are smart. You can teach me a lot. Mom thinks I have a death wish since I jumped off the roof earlier this summer now this. Nope, I just know I am invincible. But I'll try to be more careful, just to keep you all from worrying.
Thanks for all the purrs. I felt them for sure.
Purrs back at ya,

Hey everyone,
I am still here at the vet because I ate those bad flowers. I feel fine but they keep giving me stuff through a tube and checking my blood. I ate a big dinner and it went down fine. The vet tech called my mom and told her my bloodwork looked good. I still have another 24 hours of being here. It's ok because I get lots of attention from the vet techs who are here overnight. Thanks for all the purrs. Vet thinks I should be ok but they need to see how I am tomorrow.

Our little buddy Foucault is at the vet tonight after ingesting a toxic Lily plant. We were not aware that lilies are very toxic to cats. We saw he had eaten a lot of the leaves while we were out and shortly after we came home he threw up. Doing some google searches helped up reveal how serious the toxin can be to cats. Luckily the vet was still open and fit him in. He has to be there for a few days to pump his system of the poison and get his kidneys checked. The poison can set in days later. It is possible the poison could be fatal or he could have lifelong kidney issues. It simply varies from cat to cat. The vet says since we caught it early he has more of a chance. We hope so.
By telling this to you we hope that you will not let lilies into a home with a cat--even a cat who does not chew on leaves--because they are so toxic even a bit of the pollen brushed on their fur can make a cat ill. I even would like for these plants to be labeled with a warning when you purchase them. We feel so terrible about this and very guilty about it. We hope our little guy will pull through.

My brother Zuki is an angel dog now. We all knew he was getting really old. He was more like a Grandpa to me. But we liked each other and hung out a lot. It was nice having a brother. One of our best moments was when I took the pancake out of the pan and passed it to him on the floor.
Now it's up to me to the fur male in the house. It's a hard shoe, er, um, collar to fill but I am up for it. It requires extra cuddling time with mom as she is real sad. So is dad of course but men hold it in more.
I am still up to my usual mischief but no more jumping off the roof. I learned my lesson there and I want to listen to my girlfriend Coqui.

Hey catster pals,
I had the most amazing adventure this morning! Lemme tell you about it. First off, you have to know that I have a new neighbor cat. I don't know his name but he looks just like me (tabby) but less handsome and a little bigger. But I am just as tough, I assure you. Let's just call him Dude for lack of a real name.
Well Dude has been teasing me a lot lately. See I can go on the roof and balcony of my house but not outside by myself. Mom says it's for my own protection and so I don't run away. She's so strict! Anyhow, Dude has been coming to the windows and around the house trying to get me to come play with him. He also has been playing with the other neighborhood girl tabby who looks a little like him too. It's a street of tabbies with 'tudes.
This morning Dude was out on the driveway and I was on the balcony. He dared me to come down to play. I couldn't say no, he double-doocan dared me. I've never jumped that far but I got really brave and did it. I landed in a bush but then fell to the ground gracefully, on my feet (or so I type).
Sadly, before we could even get to play, mom heard the crash and came outside to try to bring me in. Dude and I tried to swap places and trick her but she knows the sound of my cry and we couldn't fool her. Plus I am slimmer and more handsome than Dude. Oh well. I finally ran inside after Mom and Dad surrounded me.
I will have to play with Dude another time. Mom says I'm grounded and I am ruining it for my sister dog and cat because they are good and just sit on the balcony without leaping off. What can I meow? Wild tabbies can't be tamed.
And with that, time for a nap.

Hey kittens!
Long time no write. I've been super busy causing all sorts of mischief. Of course there's the usual stuff of whining, begging, and carrying on for wet food. But I've also been getting into new trouble. Mom has been growing wheatgrass in huge trays. Naturally I assumed it was for me. Even though it was way up high on the refrigerator. I decided to pounce into it and take some bites. Mom didn't like it at all. She said that wheatgrass was for her. For her? Now she's become part cat I think.
Mom also got this crazy orange thing called a pumpkin. She kept putting it near me but it was too big to bat around and not very good smelling or anything. Wonder why she thought I would like it? She realized I don't like it and put it outside. good.
Speaking of outside I got caught outside yesterday. On the porch. I cried and cried and finally got let in. But while I was out there I did very important things like: count the birds in the neighborhood, watch over the construction next-door, supervise the mail delivery, and sunbathe a bit. Pretty productive.
Off for a nap. Happy Fall!

Dear kitty friends,
Thank you so much for the purrs and the rosettes and paws. It all worked, I am much better. We can hope it was just a reaction or small cold and that it won't come back. I am back to my usual antics of climbing the roof, nibbling wheatgrass, pestering my sister cat. I hope it will be a fantastic summer. I like summer because the windows are open and I get to climb in the roof all night!!!
