Arrival Story: Our baby boy came to us through a local no-kill shelter, called Pee Wee's.
This is also where Hannah was adopted from. We donate to them regularly, and we were just dropping something off when my husband said "You have to look at this one". That was all it took. Love at first sight. Then we spent the next half hour discussing why NOT to take him home to our already over-full, but well loved, house of cats.
In the end, insanity won out, and we added number 30 to our home!
We kept him in a cage until he was Felv/FIV tested and looked over by our vet, who pronounced him a healthy boy! He got his first kitten shots and then he got to go home and meet the "Wild Bunch". There was a little of the usual hissing from the big cats, but within about two days, it was as if he was always here.
Bio: Griffin is a little doll! He adores his daddy, and loves to nap on his dad's tummy while dad tries to type one handed! He follows me around, and fell asleep against my feet while I was washing dishes. It is impossible not to fall for him. He is a gentle little guy, not at all like our other rough and tumble boys. He loves to gaze into your eyes, with the most precious, loving looks. If he wakes up from a nap, and doesn't see us, he will wail outside the office door, until you let him come join you. Then he will wear himself out, playing with anything that will move, until he crashes sound asleep. What a darling. I know there will be more, and I will add it as his personality develops. Thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read his story, and for being supportive of our cat family.
More info: The man who brought Griffin to the shelter, said that his mother was a purebred Burmese, and his "accidental papa" was a solid black cat. He has a beautiful ticked coat, and his colors are getting darker as he gets older. We think he is going to be a large cat.

My name "Griffin" comes from an ancient mythological creature, kind of like a dragon. It has the head and wings of an eagle, and the body of a lion. So that means I can soar like an eagle, and roar like a lion! Raawrrr! This is my beautiful Guardian Angel,

My 1st birthday was so much fun, I kinda hate for it to be over. I hope the new friends I have made will come and visit me sometime.

Well, the first cat to send me something was my brother-in-love, Wally! We all love him a lot, but Sophie loves him the most. :)
Thanks for the hat and the C-O-O-L Kimi picture! (It's from Alfie and Teddy too.)
Next, our Uncle Oscar and his family sent a party hat too. That's good because I kinda chewed on the other one.
Our new friend, Mama Kitty, who just had her 16th birthday, sent me a cupcake. (licks icing off his whiskers)
And then I got another hat from our wonderful family friends, Oly, and her sisfurs and brofurs. Wooohooo! Party time!
The cutest birthday gift sender has to be Pixie, who sent me a cuppycake. She is too adorable for words. Don't grow up too fast, Pixie. :)
Then I got another birthday hat from Edgar, and his sis, Emily Felicity. Thanks guys!

I am on CLOUD NINE. This was a birthday with memories to last a whole year!!!

Angel Amelia sent a pretty red heart. I heart you too. :) PeekABoo sent a beach ball to play with! Yipeee! Miles Montgomery sent me a baseball, and a steak. (That sounds like a tailgate party to me, Mr. Miles!) Snoop Dogg gave me a cherry drink. Thanks, I was thirsty! Cinder-Fearless Fur Fighter sent me another shrimp! Maybe we can share a shrimp cocktail? Karma Kitty and her brothers sent me a bright red heart. Love those. Cuddles, my new pal, sent be a beach ball to pop, I mean chase! Gimli and his family sent me another delicious shrimpie! How nice is that?
