Life of Ollie!

Mama beleives I have Congestive Heart Failure. I am not doing well. For the past few weeks my breathing has been heavy and at times it is hard to catch my breath. There was one time she thought I passed away, for she couldn't wake me up. Earlier today she was first concerned I may have an upper respitory infection, for I had yellow discharge from my eyes, and a little blood from my nose, which really scared her. She took me in the bathroom, shut the door and turned on the shower, thinking the humidity might help, but it didn't.

She did ask a friend (waiting to hear back) Also are you a member of Olde Furts group? Lots of knowledgeable and experienced humans there. Please ask your mom not to cry. You will pick up her vibes and it will stress you more. Tell her she must be strong for her sweet boy! A trip to your vet sounds like a good idea. You don’t note that you have seen a vet. At this point, I think it is very important to get checked out. Maybe he can give you some medicine to make you more comfortable. One of my cat friends lives with CHF and has a wonderful quality of life. But you need to be checked as not even I who know many things can tell you what is going on. You need to get a check up to deal with whatever is going on. It will provide relief to your mommy as to what's going on. We're all going to purr and purr for you, Ollie. We agree that your Mom needs to take you to a vet to make sure you don't have something that might be easily treatable. You might have a cold or lung infection, and if a vet was able to look you over, he might have medicine that could help you. Good luck, and we're purring for you! We don't have much information about congestive heart issues, but the vet should be able to help and give you some information. Purring that you feel better and your condition is treatable. Another thought would be to post in the Catster health forum where more pawrents who may have experience can see your post. This is scary but sometimes it is not as bad as it seems, our furmom Ivey had blood from her nose and now we know it was only dry sinuses but before we new that mom was afraid for her. lots of love and prayers to you and your mom |
