URGENT: Furever homes needed for these kitties NOW!July 13th 2011 11:00 am[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ]
Hello furriends! I have been very quiet since joining Catster in 2007 and this is my first diary entry, but this is very urgent, so my fursibs and I are all cross-posting this in our diaries. Minda, Paula, and Merry are three wonderful kitties whose owner is dying of a brain tumor. The owner, Kathy, just went into hospice care and will not be returning home. Her house is going into foreclosure, so even though Kathy's wonderful neighbors (Catster pawrents of Albie and Mr. Silk) have been going across the street 2 or 3 times a day to check on the cats, this cannot continue much longer. These kitties have been declawed and must live indoors. PLEASE go to Minda, Paula, and Merry's page at the link below, read their story, and help if you can to save these lovely girls from going to a shelter. They can be adopted individually or together. They are located in West Virginia but transport to an approved home within several hundred miles could be arranged. Even if you can't adopt any of these girls, please share the link. Thank you so much!
Leave A Comment | 6 people already have Oh, Jimmy-Joe, this is so, so sad! MomMEE's vacation cabin isn't too far from Elkins, but she doesn't know anyone who might adopt these kiddens. They must NOT end up at that county's (Randolph Co) shelter because it's a kill shelter. Praying for a happy ending for these poor orphans. Concats on your DDP today Jimmy! Have a great day! Sure hope those kitties get a new forever home and together. Love, Kibbles family CONGRATULATIONS!! ON your DDP today Jimmy-Joe. Mom will repost the link and story on her facebook page. Hugs, The Bush Furs Happy Diary Pick Jimmy-Joe! It is so nice of you to post news that these kitties need homes. Oh I hope so much that they all get adopted. How sad that is for that whole family. Your caring diary shows why you were chosen today. Love Ginger xo Thank you all for your kind comments and concatulations, and thanks to your mom, Bush Furs, for reposting the story on her Facebook page. The situation is even more urgent now, as we received news that Kathy, the mom of the three kitties, passed away just this morning. Althea, Albie's mom will make sure that the cats will NOT go to a kill shelter. Worst-case scenario is that they go to a no-kill shelter, but she really doesn't want them to go to any kind of shelter because they have lived for so many years as pampered housecats, and it would be sad for them to end up someplace where they wouldn't receive as much love and attention as they have had for most of their lives. We will keep purring and purraying for a happy ending to this sad story. To anyone who hasn't seen my latest diary entry, please check it out now. We are HAPPY DANCING at the Bridge! :-) |
