It's my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Today, 31 July, I'm very happy because it's my birthday!!! I'm 2 years old now, a true teenager with all the energy!!! Mummy and daddy have friends from Spain at home and they cooked fish for us, and I mean ALL OF US! They cooked some extra to leave for me as a special treat.

We can't have cake because mummy is on a diet and anyway, for sweet things I prefer my cat milk or some ice cream people leave and I try to lick the plate, I tell them it's because I want to help in cleaning it but my intentions are very different from that, hua hua hua! :oD

Sooooo, let's celebrate!!!!!!!!!!! I invite you all!!!!!!

My Adventures at granny's

Meow!

Here I am people!! Now it's summer here in England and so my parents leave the windows open; but just a little, not enough for me to jump out, grrrrr!!! Anyway, even not being able to go outside, I like to be at the window looking what is going on and because they are open, we're having many visitors, such as moths, butterflies, flies...

I love to chase them!!! I run, I jump, and when I catch them I feel so happy that I just can't let them go, so I play with my paw, release them, catch them again, until they stop moving, I don't know why?!?!?! Then if they don't move I eat them. Yuuuummmmm, crunchy creatures.... delicious!

Came back yesterday from granny's (parents of my daddy) house, I spent these days there since Sunday 26 June. They have a nice back garden and sometimes they forget the door open, and this time was no exception. I managed to go outside and gosh, isn't that great?! I went to the neighbours garden, explored a little, and while that everybody in the house DESPERATE looking for me. Suddenly my granny saw me and I noticed everybody came to the garden and were trying to play with me, don't understand why so much interest...??

I rolled on the grass, ran and had loads of fun, and all of them looking, ha ha! But then some drops of that wet thing that I hate (called water) started to fall from above, they say it's "rain".... THIS I didn't enjoy at all, and said some meows complaining, so my daddy got me and took me inside.

Don't know why they get so worried when I escape a little to the garden. I'm a big girl already!! And that's it for now, if I have more adventures I tell you.

Alone Again but not Lonely!

Things with the other cat didn't work, she would never be part of the family as she was too agressive to get to know all of us better... mummy is full of wounds from her deep scratches, something she never EVER had while in contact with me or any other cat... besides, the one who was supposed to be my sister was always trying to attack me and my parents thought this was not healthy.

They say I really don't like like I miss her, so now we don't know anymore if I should have a company or stay as an only child, because maybe I'm already too spoiled to share my attentions with anybody else!

Bad news is, my claws are sharp again and it's time to manicure, I HATE IT!

Or should I say..... HIIIIIIIIIISSSSSS!!!!!!!!! FFFFFFFFIIIISSSS!!!!

These two words are what I most used today!!! Grrrrrrr...
Thing is, when I saw mummy and daddy with a carrier, I thought
it was time to go and visit granny, but it wasn't! The carrier had
someone else inside!

I got so surprised and just looked at her and she looked at me.
She wouldn't move but she stared so I went and FFFFIIISSZZ!!
at her for her to know that I'm the owner of the house, hey, I
have my rights, I arrived first here!

Now that silly grey thing is there in the bathroom lying down
and I'm at the door, after some more hisses I decided to keep
an eye on her and we are playing "who stares more"...

My parents are giving me all attention that it's possible or even
more than before but I had my ways to show them I feel now
grumpy about a new sister he he he... I even did "groooaarr"
to them! But well, since the girl didn't try to attack me, maybe
- and I say MAYBE! - I will give her a chance to become my
friend. I will think about it. What do you reckon people?
Is there something to be done to make us closer?

My First Loud Purr

Hi feline and human friends!

Last night I purred loud for the first time. I was at the window in the bedroom, and then I started to cough, the noise woke my parents up, and daddy went to the window and "rescued" me, put me on the bed.

I sleep every night with mummy and daddy on their bed, but this time I think I felt afraid because I was coughing and when daddy put me on bed and both of them started to caress me, I felt to happy and safe that it seems a kind of engine was turning on inside me and I started to puurrrr and they were so happy!! I am a quiet girl, if I purr is so quiet that you can only hear if you put your ear on me; My meows happen only when I want food or when I see something interesting out there, looking at the window... so that's way my first loud purr deserves to be told and registered here in my diary!

Mummy and daddy went today to see a kitten but they fell in love with the young adult cat that was there. They told me she was the sweetiest cat they ever saw. She is outgoing, just after meeting them went to their laps and they spent a very pleasant afternoon... the search for a brother or sister continues...

=^o^= Updating the Situation!!! =^o^=

Dear Friends:

I'm very happy but also SAD at the same time. Let's first talk about the happy and good part: do you know my diary was chosen to be the FEATURED DIARY OF THE DAY? Yeaaaaaaaah and I'm very proud of it, hope I can tell more of my adventures here and make many more friends. Thanks for all the requests, I'm going to accept and reply all of them with lots of love and purrrss!!!

The sad and very BAD part is... my brother couldn't come, and he won't be my little brother anymore! The thing is, when mummy found this half british shorthair kitty, she knew it was far from here, like I said before, it would take her 4 hours to go there. But what we didn't know was that it wasn't only in ONE train!! She would need to change train 4 times, walk from one station to other 1 time, and still get the tube (underground) 1 time. This put her off a little because she thought " for me to go, it's no big deal, but coming back with a small kitten who never left his house before... it's such a cruelty, he will get so stressed " - of course, between going and coming back it would take the whole day...

So, my daddy called the person who had the kitty, explained that it wasn't only ONE train like she thought... and she just said, very coldly "what a pity" and only asked if he was sure that we wouldn't go!!! She could have offered to deliver, like many people do here in England, even more after she was told that mummy and daddy haven't got a car... but no way, she just seemed worried in getting rid of the kitty, doesn't matter all the stress he would face if we "decided" to still go and get him. This attitude put mummy off and she didn't want him anymore.

Then I saw her making noises and water coming from her eyes, I learned that this is crying and she did so much that her eyes got fat. They call it "swollen".
She says she feels like she "failed the kitty" and we're all amazed how people can care so little about their own pets, sometimes...

Well, that's the news for now. My parents are still in search of a brother for me, so, if they're lucky, soon I'll come back here with more news, hope they are good.

Updating what I said...

Hey, puuuurrr!!!

I will really have a new furry friend to play, but instead of a little sister,
it will be a little brother! Well, at least I think so. Mummy is upset for
having to travel 4 hours in a train to get him, alone, because daddy
doesn't want to go... but I think in the end she won't resist and will go,
as I heard her saying she fell in love with this kitty.

He is half British Shorthair, all blue with the paws white, like me! I
think we'll be such a cute family together and I will take care of him
because he is still a 8 weeks old baby and I'm almost 2 years old now,
big girl!

When he arrives, if everything is OK I will ask mummy to take some
photos of him to be here. We don't know his name yet...

That's it for now, I'm going to sleep cuddling with my daddy.

A new sister... maybe

Hi friends!


Things have been calm here, that's why I'm not writing so often. Well,
I have to say each day my skills in hunting insects get better, now that
the weather is warmer, mummy and daddy open more the windows
(not enough for me to jump out of them though!) and so, my flying
prey enter more than they used to do before.

I'm happy to participate now in Catster forum, through there I made
new friends, and would like to blow a kissie to Sharon, owned by Hairy
(in loving memory) and Cybil!

I am reaaaally excited because I over heard my parents talking about
giving me a new sister! Well, my mummy's dream even before having
me was to be owned by a blue cat (she thought it was "grey" but the
correct if to say blue because they are british shorthair), and she looks
at me spying at my neighbours so much that she thinks I would feel
even happier with a company, and better if it's the colour she dreams of!
Problem is, the blue ones seem to be hard to find in the rescue centres
like the one I came from... and to buy one seem to be so expensive and
"odd" in a way, because mummy thinks cats are not objects to be
exposed and bought, just like that...

But well, we are all hoping to find a solution for that and then, if I get
a new kitty sister, I promise to behave well, take care of her, teach
her all my tricks, and post her photos here :o)

A New Career

Puuurrrr!!!

Hello all, long time no miaow! I'm here to tell all of you about my new ideas of being a top model. The thing is, mummy & daddy are all the time taking photos of me, and in the beginning I didn't like it a lot, but now I'm so used to it that I even POSE!

So, I was thinking, if I'm so cute, why not charging everytime they want to capture one of my wonderful moments?! Each photo, a treat, such as HiLife paté, which I love, or maybe a slice of cheese... still don't know what price I'm gonna charge, and I'm accepting suggestions... c' mon, be creative huh?

The First Time I got ill

Puuurrr!!

Hi my feline and human friends!!!
Today was a very different day. It was the first time I had any kind of
health problems and my mama and papa felt veeeery worried about me!

It started like 2 days ago, I felt like scratching the corners of the rooms,
sometimes I tried to pee pee there, or sometimes I went to my litter tray
but just a few drops of pee pee came. Other times I sat there waiting and
nothing came! So my parents started to look in Internet and suspected I
had an urinary infection, but by that time it was too late in the night to go
to a vet...

So mama entered a site where she participates in forums about cats, and
asked for a piece of advice, which was soon replied by a very nice girl,
she has lots of cats and all of them are cute like me!! She said I should have
some vitamin C, so my parents gave me some and I felt a little better until
going to the vet.

The vet said I have cystitis and gave me 2 (yes I said TWO, how AWFUL!
I even growled to her at the second one!!!) injections, besides something
to put drops on my food during a time. Now I feel pretty well and ready
to have lots of fun in this Christmas!!!
