Arrival Story:
Saoirse & her brother, Ronan, were rescued by the Save-Our-Strays organization from an abusive owner. Terrorized for meowing while confined to a tiny cage for the first three months of their lives, with no vet care and very little food, they never got the chance to run and play and feel secure just being kittens. They couldn't be separated, and we were more than happy to take both of them. Not only do we enjoy rehabilitating traumatized orphans, we're both suckers for black cats.

Bio:
Saoirse got her name because of her original circumstances. Once released in our house, she ran and ran until she fell over panting. I figured it was her "freedom dance" and named her Saoirse (Irish Gaelic for "freedom"). She is still very attached to her brother, and has grown close with the other cats...though she couldn't care less about our 3 rats, and downright abhors that obnoxious, clumsy, undignified Siberian Husky puppy. She's a great problem solver, and very deliberate in her behavior and actions. She rarely ever shuts up, and has that wonderfully loud Siamese voice; she even makes funny snorting noises when she's been offended. A little snooty, and very demanding, she is still extremely affectionate and can be quite silly. She is currently our highly respected Beta Female, and enjoys mentoring our youngest cat, Madchen Chloe Pooperhead.
