Arrival Story:
After losing a kitten, my sister was at a co-workers house where they were enjoying cocktails. Seester heard a large howl and looked up to see a guy swinging Alexandra by her tail. After slashing the guy's throat, Seester had Alexandra sit on her lap for the rest of the evening and then took her home with her. In the morning she called me to say I just "had to see" this cat. I was not wanting another cat since I was still licking my wounds but fell instantly in love. Alexandra is a wonderful cat, the best I have ever had in my life.

Bio:
Alexandra is the most gentle cat in the world. When Grandbaby was just a toddler, he would get out of his pool and carry Alexandra to the pool. Picture this: a nude little toddler walking across the lawn carrying a cat. He would dump her in the pool over and over - not wanting to be mean but wanting her to enjoy it with him. She'd jump out and he'd go back over and she'd let him play this game again and again. She's very patient and loving. Seester thinks that because she was mistreated and a stray, she earns her keep. She is good to the Grandbaby, an excellent hunter, loyal and sweet. She stays outside during the day and in the evening I put her in the garage with her num-nums. She waits for me to get home and rolls in the dirt while I unload the car. She comes to me when called (meowy, meowy) but if I call "girlfriend, oh beautiful girlfriend" she calls back letting me know she is on her way. I love this darling kitty! Update: 10/21/04 - When we came home from a football game we found an injured Alexandra :-( I thought she broke a leg but the ER Vet Clinic and her vet tell me that she has a spinal cord injury. Luckily, cats miraculously recover from spinal cord injuries. Today is day 4 after the injury and she has already jumped out of the laundry chute, up onto the ottoman and then followed me outside. She is such a personable cat that she cannot stand being cooped up and away from people. An angel freecycler gave me a large cage for her and she stays in there at night and during the day while I am work. I called her vet yesterday and he says to keep her in the cage for at least a week. Last night she heard the can for num-nums open up and she hauled it into the kitchen. She's fighting this injury and it looks like she's going to win! Please keep sweet thoughts heading her way.
