Arrival Story:
We were at the vets with another cat, when our Doc said "come with me" He took me back and showed me a timid gray cat that had shown up on his doorstep. Knowing how we love grays, I said "If you don't find him a home, we'll give him one" Well guess what! We almost took him back because he fought and bullied the other cats, but my husband had a "man to man" talk with him, explaining that he needed to settle down, and miraculously he did. He still is shy and often runs from you in the daytime, but when the lights go out he's all loverboy! We adore him.
Bio:
We had a very hard time picking a name. Our vet suggested Corvette, since he was found in his parking lot. We almost liked it, but since he looked exotic, sleek and beautiful, we settled on Enzo. He loves heights and with his leaping and balancing abilities, you never know where he'll be looking down from! He can jump to, and sit on, the top rail of the shower enclosure. The other cats (and we) wonder how he does it. Enzo is very shy. but when he gets us alone to himself, he really comes out of his shell, and is extremely loving. He is fond of sitting on your lap when you're in the bathroom! We love our darling little fella.
Update: In 2005, Enzo developed a lump on his hip following yearly vaccinations. The vet watched it closely, as these frequently turn into cancer. Miraculously, after about six months, the lump disappeared, and has not returned. He is a healthy (though in my opinion, too skinny) boy! He can still out jump any cat in the house.
