Purrs, my friends.
The baby kitten is doing great. She passed her FIV and FeLV tests with flying colors.
Her little belly is as round as an orange. No more hissy fits, only purrs. In fact, she makes mom laugh because when mom baby talks to her, she plops over on her back and wiggles her legs. It's so funny. And when she sees the food dish coming, she stands up on her back legs, and waves her paws in the air.
So, the dilemma. You see, it's Tuesday, and she is still here. She should have gone to the shelter on Monday. They weren't ready to say goodbye yet.
Now who would have guessed this might have happened?
The question is whether or not to listen to their hearts or their heads.
Mom knows that if she lets her go, she will always regret it. But she also knows that many people could give her a home with better conditions.
So they are going to keep her until the next drop-off date for the shelter, which is Friday.
That gives them a little more time with her, and more time to search their hearts.
We would like to have our friends opinion, pro or con, it will be valuable in making a decision. Thanks for reading today.
Angel purrs and lots of love,
>^,,^< Zack and Family

We are the wrong ones to ask for help. We love all the cats and kitties we see. I think I would probably keep the kitty...... We know you are already in love with it. I think Dadcat would have to much room in his jacket if you took her to the shelter. (MOL!) Good Luck in whatever you decide. This is a hard one. We will purr you make the correct decision for you and your family.

Ohhhh, Zack. I want your Parents to keep her! How could she find a more loving home? She already has one, and should stay!
Now tell your Mom to hurry up and get her a page. I want to send this little cutie a pressie :)
Alway's listen to your heart mommy say's. Your head will follow. MOL ! Keep the sweet kitty. She need's you !
Zack, tell your parents to listen to their hearts,my mommy doe'sand she has never regretted it and that cute little kitten will have such a wonderful home, oh we do hope you keep her we would love to have her as a new friend ,Love Socxx
Heart~Heart~Heart~!!!!!!!!! always listen to your heart. mom says if she had a thousand furrbabies there would always be room in her heart for one more. If they haven't named her, get them to because once they give her a name ----- she is theirs furrever. hugs and kisses Anna
I thinks she has come into your mom's life for a very important reason 'n that is to bring her joy 'n laughter. A better life somewhere else? Not likely. No place else could possibly provide more love 'n compassionate care.
prrrt 'n meow,
Your meowmy will always worry what become of her if you let her go to the shelter. She has a good home now, ever hear "if it ain't broke don't fix it"-well it ain't broke, we say keep her! The space she would take at the shelter can go to some furbaby who is not in such a good place. I agree with Ollie Pop, she was sent to you for a reason. Hugs Normy
We have to agree with everyfur, we think the little one already has a home!! You were needing joy added to your lives, we do believe you have received it in this little fur ball.
Mary & Furs
I have to agree with Norman, if it aint broke don;t fix it...she fills a space right there in your heart and your home...
She is your family's dragonfly miracle.....
My Lady sees it like this...That kitten found you all!
For better or worse...it happened for a reason...My Lady had NO intentions of getting another cat last year. AT ALL..but when she got off work and was cutting thru the parking lot at Wal Mart and just glanced to her left and saw the sign, Free Kittens, something tore her heart! Something told her, no yelled at her to STOP!
When the van door opened and that little kitten saw them, she just flew at My Lady and The Girl!!!
and Miz Rose became our new sisfur..
Call it karma..call it fate..but listen to your heart ALWAYS.
Love and Good Luck..

I can't believe this kitty could find a better home than yours. Your pawrents have so much love to give. My Mummy says your pawrents are angels! I hope the little kitty gets to stay! kisses, Chelsea
Oh Zack, that is quite the dilemma and we are the wrong kitties to ask - as mom & dad would certainly keep her! And as some other kitties mentioned, I don't think she'd find a better home than yours. Your pawrents have so much love to give that we're certain there's a little place for her. Well, we don't want to meow your pawrents into anything, but...... they'll do what is right in their hearts!
Bella, Tally and furmily
Of course your parents should follow their hearts. Their huge, open, loving hearts, i might add.
*smiles at all the wonderful comments*
Well, of course, I agree, but then I was lucky daddy rescued me from being kicked like a football. This little girl has surely won their hearts. It's a tough decision. They started thinking of possibly "Olivia", Oli for short.
We'll give it a couple more days, and see. Thank everyone very much, for writing.
Love you friends,
"Better conditions??" Um... we don't think so. There is no "better condition" than unconditional love! And we believe from all we know of your pawrents, which granted is based only on the diaries of you and your sibs, unconditional love is what the kitties get in your house.
Your mommy and daddy have had some heartbreak with you and Riley going to the Bridge and Harry and Stinky being so sick. I think this little girl was "sent" to your home fur a purpose.
Do you know angel Peaches whose earth siblings are Squirrel and Kitcat? If so you know that Peaches' mommy was having a furry furry sad time because her doggie, Tasha went to the Bridge and then Squirrels' sibling, Lucky followed suddenly an unexpectedly after. Well then Kitcat came into their lives... and Kitcat has made it purrfectly clear that she is an angel on earth with a job to do! She has brought so much happiness into that home.
So, since you asked fur my opinion... I'd say it's high time kitten got a name and a page and became a furrever member of the Texas Wild Bunch household! :~)
I think Riza would be a good name-using the first two letters of yours and Riley's names. She is staying.....right? Love Normy
My mommy says that she has no answers here.....she says it's that same old problem....you never let them in to start with...but then again...who can do that! Once they make it in they are in for good...MOL! Tell your mom that if she is looking for a "good home" for the kitten...she is already in a good home and one where she is loved and safe. My mommy would not be able to part with her either. Why not just consider her "home", give her a name and make her a page so we can all meet the little sweetie?
