I fought, and I won! AGAIN! The score - Odie: 2 Stones: 0

Stones are always a big ZERO in my book!

I was quietly minding my own business snuggling with Tigger this morning, when mom came down with the Porta-Jail and *rudely* picked me up and shoved me into the Porta-Jail... ??!?!? WTC? Well I dug my heels in and I would NOT have anything to do with this nonsense, making it as difficult as possible for her to accomplish whatever it was that she was trying to accomplish. SHEESH! Humans... I don't get them...

So, after having been rudely awakened from a nice nap, I was put in the fast moving Big Porta-Thingy that transported me to the v.e.t. And did I ever express my disapproval and YOWL.

Mom met with the very nice vet-man today, who looked at my history and said, let's start with the ultrasound and see where we are at, and proceed with an alternate prescription food in case the stones are still there. *GLARES* at the old-former vet-man who wanted to cut me and make me have surgery! HISSS SPIT GROWL

I was very good, I even rolled around on the table flirting with him! (mom rolls eyes) He gave me an exam and said I looked very good for a middle aged lady of almost 7 years. *blush* So then he took me in the back, did this sound thing on my tummy and brought me back to mom (she could hear me expressing my disapproval from down the hallway MOL MOL)at which point he said, "Odie is stone free"

STONE FREE!!!!!!! Mom about jumped up and hugged the White Coat! NO STONES! We are elated, especially after having avoided nasty unnecessary surgery for the SECOND time! YIPPIEEE!

I still have yet to get the results of my urinalysis, which will be on Monday. Meantime, I will be on Royal Canin SO for the rest of my life, and that is just fine if it means NO! MORE! STONES!! Having stones once is not fun, having stones twice is really not fun!

May we all join together in a group of love so that I can express my appreciation and love to all! Thank you, my friends, for being with me throughout all of this. It has been a long road and it has not been easy... however it has been worth it to FIGHT! Don't ever give up... fight fight FIGHT!

Wishing you all good health, happiness and much love. I love you all....

We are moving across the country!

Please furgive the redundancy of all of our diary entries; the big day has finally arrived, the day my family has been preparing for over the last 9 months. We are going to start our drive across the country very early tomorrow morning, Monday 10/18!

I must quickly say: THANK YOU ALL who celebrated my birthday with me on Friday! I apawlogize that I haven't been able to thank you all personally, I am going to make up for it somehow once we're settled. Thank you for making my day as special as you all are as my good friends!

Anyhoo... things have been slowly disappearing from our house, and now the house is completely empty except for our kitty things and a few mundane human things. Well, kitty things take priority, right?? At first we were confused, a little scared and hesitant to venture about, now we’re having a ball, racing about the house and playing.

We will be driving 2000 miles from Minneapolis to San Francisco and it will take 3 full days of driving. Mom and dad will be driving all 7 of us kitties and our doggie sisfur Berkeley in the huge “van conversion” MOL MOL MOL which we’ve dubbed “The Ark”. We have faith in the Ark bringing us safely home, and we have a crew of Angel Kitties flying high above us, guiding us safely home. To all of our angel friends, thank you for guiding us and surrounding us with the safety and peace of mind that we need. Dad spent lots of money on the van to be sure it is in tip top shape for our trip, and mom got each of us our own carrier so that there is no possibility of any of us escaping. The house is full of Feliway, and catnip and we’ve had Rescue Remedy put in our water as calming agents.

Mom even had a Reiki session done for us last night, to bathe us in healing energy and calmness. During the session, we were all very relaxed, purring and snoozing. We will do what we can to make this as easy as possible.

We will be camping out in the van, all of us together for 2 nights. *giggles* we thought it would be a challenge to sneak 7 cats and a dog into a motel… MOL! The idea of camping at KOA campgrounds offers some excitement and fun to the trip. We should be arriving on 10/20.

I’m afurraid my family and I will be going silent for a bit. To those that have our email and cell, we sure would love to hear from you, and mom will do her best to update you.

To all who have offered your purrs and prayers, we are sincerely grateful. My family and I love you all! We will see you on the other side, ready to celebrate and have fun again!

Oh hello my good and dear friends!! I wish to thank you who remembered my birthday today and sent notes, presents and beautiful pictures to me! Mom barely remembered herself, so I thank you! My time on the catputer at the moment is very very brief; I want to explain my silence and what is going on.

My brofur George and I won't be celebrating our birthdays for another few days yet... my family and I are moving across the country in just three days! Poor George will have his birthday on the road *SNICKER!*

Our house is completely empty now, and we just need to clean and help mom "organize" *giggles* We kitties are good at that.

So.... I really hope that we can all get together and have a belated birthday celebration! I'm kind of bummed about this, but at the same time I am very very excited to get to Kalifurnia!

I love you all!

Happy purrs,
Odie (& the Kalifurnia Krew too)

We were in jail yesterday

.....well.... not jail EXACTLY, but it sure felt like it. Yesterday morning mom was acting abnormal (SHE is abnormal MOL) We pick up on anything that is different; something new in the house, a feeling, something changed. Well, mom was putting all of our things in her bedroom (?!) Food, water, toys, Rescue Remedy, catnip, even a... a litter box!? In her bedroom?

So being naturally curious kitties, all 7 of us followed her to inspect everything, as kitties do. Next thing we know, she slips out and has locked us all in her bedroom!!! OMC! What is going on?? She put us in JAIL for the day!

Mom tried to explain to us (but we don't listen very well) that "visitruders" were going to be at the house all day long, putting in our new carpet. She didn't want to risk the Visitruders inadvertently leaving a door open for one of us to slip out, so she claims she put us in jail for our own safety.

*glares at mom*

Of course what is on the other side of the door is ALWAYS better, right? So we all had our noses to the bedroom door, wanting to be on the other side, and we spent the whole day here in jail.

Well.... I suppose it is a good thing. The visitruders were scary, we don't know them so we would've hidden anyways... plus they made a lot of noise banging around and doing whatever it is that hoomans do.

So finally at 11:30 p.m. (we'd been in JAIL for practically 18 hours!).... she set us free! Bail was made MOL MOL MOL! She opened the door and we all RAN downstairs.... and FROZE!! What on Earth?? Wait... there is new funny fuzzy brown stuff on our floors, where it used to be bare concrete? WHAT is this stuff? So we all cautiously did the Kitty Creep.... walking in slow motion, butts low to the ground, checking out every single inch of this newness. (Mom was MOL MOL MOL'ing at us)

*glares at mom again*

Mom, you should know we were making the territory safe for YOU. Hmmmpphhh. When we'd determined that all was safe and well and that the new fuzzy brown stuff wouldn't hurt us, OMC it was pawty time. We all rolled around on this new soft stuff in utter bliss! Combined with the fact that the visitruders were gone and that we'd been sprung from jail! This is GREAT! It always pays to be safe.

So if any visitruders invade your homes, take precaution. It is worth it to go to jail and be SAFE!

Happy purrssss!!

It still fits! :-D

Every year on my wedding annifursary, I wear my beautiful wedding dress for the day. I wiggled into it this morning, and it FITS! Even after mom giggled at me the other day, watching my belly swing back and forth as I scampered across the room. *gives mom a dirty look*

Two years ago today, I married my soulmate, the love of my life, BEAR! Happy anniversary sweetheart! Thank you for bringing all of the joy to my life that you’ve done, and wishing you many more years of happiness together! I love you, always and always more!

My soon-to-be blind sisfur is not doing well

Foster mommy-angel auntie Jody rescued my soon to be sisfur, Eve, from the shelter in GA yesterday, and her condition is very bad. We know that she is blind and we want a blind kitty to love and care for. However auntie Jody found out that she is unable to walk on her hind legs. We don’t know what is wrong, and she is going to the vet today in order to determine what is wrong with my little sister. She is 7 months old and only weighs 3 pounds. She is also not eating, but is drinking and craving the love that she has never had, purring and cuddling with auntie Jody. She says that she would not have survived much longer at this place. We are so sad for little Eve, yet so very very hopeful that this condition is temporary and that she will make a full recovery! We are purring for you, little sisfur Eve, we are purring, praying and sending the Power of the Paw and all of our love to you! If you have a moment, please stop by and light a candle for her.

http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi =EVE

She will need all of the strength possible for her journey from GA to MN. At this point, her journey to her forever home is on hold until we know what her condition is and until she is healthy and well enough to travel. Thank you all for your kindest purrs, softest woofs and all of our support… it is helping us to be strong as well and to get through this.

WE BELIEVE! WE BELIEVE, LITTLE EVE.

Mom made me write in my diary.... She is helping rescue a beautiful little blind kitty from a high kill shelter in GA. All of her nice friends are helping her find her way to her forever home, here with me. She will get on an airplane and fly from GA to MN, here!

I am such a nice girl, I will most likely be the furrrrst one to welcome her. All of my siblings have hissy fits over new friends and family. Well... *ssshhhh*... I do too...

Eve is her name. She was rescued on Christmas Eve, hence her name. I must admit, it's perfect. Eventually I'll show her around, but after I get used to her.

LOVES!

An excited soon to be big sisfur!

I got tagged by furriend Aislin and have to list 5 things I am thankful for:

1. I am very thankful to be an inside kitty, always!
2. I am thankful for my pawrents and all that they do; from feeding us the best foods, to giving us all of the toys imaginable, to providing the softest, prettiest beds…
3. I am thankful just to be so loved. I wish all kitties could be recipients of everything we are all so blessed with.
4. I am grateful for my bestest brofur, Tigger. I love my whole family, but he makes me feel the most special with his attention.
5. I’m grateful to always have clean kitty boxes to do my business in. (MOL)

Then tag five furiends. Have fun with it and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

It was one year ago today that I married BEAR, the love of my life. We had the magnificent wedding of the century, which I will always cherish. I will never forget the day I met him, when he walked into the BCCP room, I was immediately infatuated. It has only grown stronger every day since!

Thank you for enriching my life and making me the happiest girl on Catster~ I love you sweet Bear. Wishing you a very happy anniversary, and many more to come!

We are spending our special day at our tropical island resort this year, reflecting how lucky and how happy we are... along with cavorting in the waves, lounging on the beach, sipping catpagne and noshing on sushi!

It doesn't get any better!
