Arrival Story: I was discovered by a kind man who fed feral cats, in a bank parking lot at midnight - I was very tame though, unlike the other kitties there. I walked right up to him and was furry friendly. He didn't want to take me home in case I was someone's pet, but the next 2 nites I was still there, so he did. I was taken to a vet, and had my shots, and was neutered and then Meowmy was calling adoption orgs in our area looking fur a new kitty, and when the man described me something clicked. When I met her I was in a cage and made happy paws in the air when I saw her - and then I cuddled with her when she held me. End of story MOL! I was Meowmy's only cat fur 10 years bc I had a doggie sister I loved and didn't get along well with other felines. She is is Heaven now, so Meowmy got Humphrey fur us to love, and while I am Top Cat in our home, I do love him furry much. Life is great!

I have dual citizenship in the U.K. and the U.S. which makes it furry handy fur when I go to scientist conventions abroad and go on my lecture tours!

THANK YEW, CATSTER AND JUNIOR FLUFFIKINS FOR MAKING THIS FOR ME!
A couple of months ago Mommy came home with a very different looking cat tree, made out of lovely clawable brown canvas, and just the right size for hopping up on and lounging. The only thing I don't like about it is, the top of it seems to open and Mommy puts things inside it, like blankets and pajamas. I don't know why she doesn't keep cat toys and treats in there instead. She's such a weirdo!
I have a hard time staying on top of it, because if I lay there for long, the top of it caves in and I sort of sink down into the blankets and all. I still really love it though, and hop up on it whenever the mood strikes.
Today, Humphrey told me it's called a "Hamper", and it's not fur us. I think he's just being mean spirited because I recently pinnned him down and tried to box his ears, for laying in my big donut bed in the living room too many times. I looked up the word "hamper" in the dictionary, and I think he may be right because whenever I get up on it and Mommy is home she makes me get off it, and *hampers* my fun!
However, I will *not* be deterred by terminology -it's just a slightly malfunctioning cat tree to me, and I *will* continue to perch on it - I WILL NOT BE HAMPERED!
I have no idea what is going on, but all of a sudden tonight, no matter where I go in the house, I hear ringing, and it's very close to me. I'm not sick, but this constant ring ring ringing is rather disconcerting and irritating. Mommy put a new blue collar around my neck tonight, and right after that (and mind you, I sat very politely and patiently while she did it), ring ring ring!
I have a feeling Humphrey and Mommy know what it is, and aren't telling me. Now, if only I can find a mirror low enough to the ground for me to see what is going on with this collar.......
OMC, today a big package came in the mail fur us from England, and it had sooooo many fun things inside it - THANK YOU, ALFIE & FAMILY! *waving* It had wonderful toys, and treats we've never had before, because they are from England, and a beautiful calendar from a lovely rescue place in the UK, with a different cute dog or kitty who they found a forever home for, for each month.
The best part though, is my new catnip banana!! I loves it - Mommy took photos of my holding it, and using it fur a pillow, and I've also been sitting on it, to make sure a certain someone else in this family doesn't get it, and I do not mean Mommy! Mommy took photos, and as soon as we can help her figure out to download them, we will post them. We are still enjoying our wonderful Secret Santa gifts from Oly too and hope to share those photos soon too.
I have to go now - I needs to spend some quality time with my new best friend, the banana from England! Not to mention the fabulous wand toy they send us that seems be made out of *ribbon* (!!!) - my absolutely fave toy/snack in the world! Mommy says I am not allowed to eat this, but we'll just see about that.........
