Arrival Story:
Our neighbor had seen her dog playing and sleeping with a little grey kitten and asked if it was ours. We said no and tried for about the last 2 weeks to catch her. This past Wednesday/Thursday(Oct 17/18, 2007) we had storms and couldn't go out to get her. Our neighbor banged on our door Friday(Oct 19, 2007) saying the kitten was very sick. We rushed it to the vet. The vet gave her a 20% survival rate (she was near comatose) and pumped her full of fluids and antibiotics. He also had to give her a blood transfusion as she was severely anemic. Aurora passed away during the night. The vet said that the flea's just took all the blood/iron she had. I didn't get to have a picture of her in life, so I took one of her when I visited her body today before she goes for cremation. RIP Angel Aurora
