I found him at the Petsmart when I lived in NJ. He was one of twenty barn cats that had been rescued after a fire. They were sent to different area shelters and he ended up at the Petsmart. I always try to visit the kitties when I'm in there, and when I visited him, he tried to climb up my leg to get some hugs and kisses.
Bio:
He acts as though he's the Alpha Male and has the other cats trained to give up their seats and nap spots if he wants them. He's so "alpha," you'll probably see him in photos of the other cats.

It is with great sadness that I tell you all Leel was peacefully put to rest today. He was diagnosed with abdominal lymphoma several weeks ago, and rather than put him through life extending, yet torturous, treatment, I opted to make him as comfortable as I could until he let me know it was time to go.
He stopped eating this past week, and also started to show little interest in his favorite activities. Even though he still seemed happy and perky today, I did not want him to weaken to the point of pure misery and discomfort. Cats who stop eating decline very, very quickly. Although thin and worn down by disease, he was still such a beautiful boy. I will miss him so much because I loved him so much.
