Favorite Toy: Laser light

Favorite Nap Spot: Chair in my aunt's room

Arrival Story: When my aunt was visiting my mommy in NJ, they were online and found a picture of me in petfinder.com. Lucky for them I was in a local shelter. My aunt knew my mommy always wanted an all white cat and convinced my mommy to drive to the shelter and take a look at me. My mommy thought I was very beautiul, but said she needed to think about getting me as she already had four cats. It didn't take her long to think. Within a day, she called the shelter and begged them to hold me for her, that she would be back the following Saturday. Need I say more? I have a great home!

Bio: No one knows what happened to my tail. It is somewhat kinked, almost like it was broken at one time. The lady at the shelter said I was a stray and very hard to catch, so there isn't a lot of history. It doesn't bother me, so I guess it's ok.

Mommy thought it appropriate that she let her Castser family know what happened to me. Although I showed no symptoms of CRF, I stopped eating last week. When she took me to a vet last Saturday, he noticed my kidneys were small on x-ray. I weighed 11.0 lbs at that visit. Mommy took me back to the vet and had the vet run bloodwork on Thursday, 8/5/10. My weight at that visit was 10.09 lbs. My kidney values were extremely poor, as was my phosphorus. She was told that I needed to be hospitalized and put on IV fluids, but the prognosis was poor for recovery from this episode.
After careful, loving thought and consideration, mommy felt it best not to subject me to medical procedures that would make me suffer and be unhappy. It was very difficult for her, but she knew it was best for me. Please keep her and my brothers in your hearts.
She wanted me to post this poem here, as she knows there are so many others who've had this experience.
The Time Has Come
If it should be that I grow frail and weak.
and pain should keep me from my sleep,
then will you do what must be done?
For this, the last battle cannot be won.
You will be sad, I understand.
But don't let grief then stay your hand.
For on this day, more than the rest,
your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years.
What is to come can hold no fears.
You would not want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please let me go..
Take me to where my needs they'll tend.
Only stay with me until the end.
And hold me firm and speak to me
until my eyes no longer can see.
I know in time you will agree
it is a kindness you do for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
from pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
who has decided this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years.
Don't let your heart hold anymore tears.

WOW!
I have the most pawsome page! And trust me, it’s not because Mommy somehow became a “page-pimping” genius overnight. She can barely use her cell phone!
My page looks so good because Mommy made friends with
Jobel http://www.catster.com/cats/525354,
Jillian http://www.catster.com/cats/580727,
Jasper http://www.catster.com/cats/580722, and
Princess Zoe’s http://www.catster.com/cats/525627 mom. She does amazing things, and can really tune in to our true personalities! And all the way from Canada! I can’t believe how she was able to see the real me, a Great White Shark in a cat’s clothing! She’s a true artiste!
Please check out my furmily’s other pages. Every detail is purrfect! I hope you’ll all be as impressed as Mommy and I are!
Manx a lot, Manx-mommy! You make us all super happy kitties!

My aunt-mommy thinks I'm funny when I fight. She got a video of me slapping the heck out of Thomas, and it's saved to her cell phone.
Because Mommy's new to cell phones and anything else that's new in the tech world, it might be a while before anyone sees it. I'll try to get mommy to ask some of her (younger) coworkers how to send a video to catster...
