Arrival Story:
I lived near the NJ shore, and there is very little to do in the winter. One winter day, I thought it would be nice to go to the local shelter and give out some hugs and kisses to all the little kitties who didn't have homes. Needless to say, I think I should stay out of the shelters before I become "the crazy cat lady."

Bio:
He was seven or eight months old when I got him in February. The family that brought him to the shelter did not give a reason for surrendering him, only that they could no longer keep him. I know that some people only like kittens. In some cases, when kittens start to grow into adult cats, they often get surrendered to shelters. In even worse cases, people who rent properties at the shore for the summer have been known to go to shelters and "rent a pet" for the summer, as well. Most of them leave the animal in the rented property after they've returned home for the season. The realtors take them to the shelters after they find them left in the home. I'm glad Mozart's family took him to a shelter so he could get a second chance.

The Littles

Hi, All!

As seen on my page, Mommy has "adopted" a family of ferals, the Littles. Their names are Abigail Little (the Mommy cat, tuxedo), Brownie Little (brown tabby with white) and Cloud Little (gray tabby with white). Of course, she speaks of them as if they're her own, and often refers to them as "The Leetles."

She leaves a bowl of food out everyday (yes, OUR FOOD, along with fresh water). She sets it out on the deck and each night, the Leetles show up for their evening meal. Her goal is TNR, but so far, the closest she can get to them is about 6 feet before they run away.

The kittens look to be about 6-10 weeks old (based on kitten pics from Mr. D's page...thanks Mr. D!), but Mommy is afraid that something is wrong. We haven't seen Cloud in over a week. Abigail always shows up with Brownie now, but no Cloud. We are (probably correctly) assuming the worst, so at this time, we would like to request some suggestions from other Catsters.

Does anyone know an easy way to trap Abby and Brownie? We feel that the sooner they can be TNR, the safer they'll be. Also, is Brownie too young to be altered? It's been awhile (almost 20 years, yikes!) since Mommy has had to have a kitten neutered. Finally, is there any other way to keep them safe, even if Mommy is unable to catch them, or will "nature take its course" regardless of what we do?

Thanks in advance for any advice. If it has four legs, whiskers and meows, Mommy will do anything she can to help.

Purrs,
Baby Mo'

Look at My Gorgeous Page

WOW!

I have the most pawsome page! And trust me, it’s not because Mommy somehow became a “page-pimping” genius overnight. She can barely use her cell phone!

My page looks so good because Mommy made friends with Jobel http://www.catster.com/cats/525354, Jillian http://www.catster.com/cats/580727, Jasper http://www.catster.com/cats/580722, and Princess Zoe’s http://www.catster.com/cats/525627 mom. She does amazing things, and can really tune in to our true personalities! And all the way from Canada! She’s a true artiste! Am I the most spoiled kitty in the world? You bet! Not only do I get belly rubs every night from my Aunt-Mommy, I get massages from other kitties. No one deserves it more than me!

Please check out my furmily’s other pages. Every detail is purrfect! I hope you’ll all be as impressed as Mommy and I are!

Manx a lot, Manx-mommy! You make us all super happy kitties!

Six Things I Hate

Well, I saw Louis LeBeau's diary entry and he said he'll consider the first six cats to read his entry as "tagged." See below:

"I am not tagging any cat in particular. You are on the honor system. The first six cats to read this-- consider yourself tagged. MOL! (Yes I am keeping count too.)"

Not sure if I'm one of the first 6, but here goes:

1. I hate going to the vet. But I guess almost everycat feels the same way.

2. I hate being fed late. If Mommy oversleeps, I get on her bed and meow loudly until she gets up to feed me.

3. I hate when things are out of place. If something is put in a spot where it isn't normally found, I approach it like it's a completely new item. Mommy and Aunt-Mommy sneak up and scare me when I do this and I jump straight up in the air. Then they laugh at me.

4. I hate being cold. Like my brother, Hannibal, I only look forward to the colder months because Mommy uses her electric blanket and we all get to curl up on the toasty bed every night.

5. I hate when someone stops brushing me. I would like to have those little spikes running down my back 24/7, but I'm always told, "My arm is tired!" What does that mean??

6. I hate when the trash bag gets replaced. Mommy likes to "shake it out" to unfold it so she can easily slip it into the trash can. It makes a super loud noise and I go running!

That's it! And I like Louis' idea. If you read this and want to join in, go for it!

Mo'
