Arrival Story:
I don't remember much of birth family, but I hope they are doing well. I knew I had a greater purpose in my life than survival in the mountains of Tennessee. I had a dream one night where a lovely regal kitty came to me. I thought maybe he was from ancient Egypt; he had such a kingly presence. He was orange and white and had eyeliner, just like mom told me cats had in Egypt. He told me that I had an earthy job to do...and that nothing should stop me. He said he had a human whom he loved very much, and that she would soon be sad because he, the kingly cat, would have to cross The Rainbow Bridge. He told me I had to go to this human and comfort her so that she would fully understand how he would never leave her. I didn't know what he meant, but I took his directions and headed off to my new life. I walked many miles and finally found a large fenced piece of property. I saw many cats, and they had food, a place to stay, and love. I was so tired. I watched them longingly, finally deciding that they might help me. I saw a black and white cat come out of a large box where humans were. Were one of these MY human? I soon learned the cat's name was Moo. When Moo saw me, he didn't seem too happy. He turned and went right back into the big box....I followed, close on his heels. A nice human lady took me in and fed me and loved me and made me a part of her family...but I knew she was not MY human. She was not the one the regal kitty had described. Several weeks later, the human lady had a friend over. I had tingles when I first saw her. She was terribly kind and loving, and I learned that she had just recently suffered a terrible loss: Her beloved kitty Zoomer had crossed The Rainbow Bridge! Could this be MY human? I used all my kitty wiles to woo her, and before long, she asked Moo's meowmmy if she might let me live with her. When we got to my new home, I saw a picture of Zoomer. He was the kitty in my dreams. I knew had found MY human!! Zoomer and I have the same facial markings, and we both have eyeliner. Zoomer had a long fluffy tail, though, and I got nothin'! : ) Zoomer found me my new home and is telling Meowm he will always love her. So will I!

Bio:
My cousin Moo found me and took me to his meowmy, who is now my Aunt Cat. Auntie called me Nub at first because I didn't have a tail. Iwas very malnourished, not even weighing a pound. I was covered in fleas and my eyes were matted. My fur was awful without any shine. She nursed me back to health.

Sunday Escapade: My Style

Meowm and I decided that THIS is the event to begin my diary with...

I made Meowm have a mini-heart-attack Sunday! She had to friends over for lunch, both cat friendly, but as usual us kitties elected to hide before venturing out to meet our guests. I disappeared into a really GREAT hiding spot. No one would find me here!

I usually venture out after an hour or so to visit with company, but I was all snuggly in my hiding spot. Meowm finally came to see where I'd gotten off to. She came in the garage, which is our great outdoors indoors, calling my name. I was going to bound out and surprise her...BOO!

But, OH NO! I was STUCK! I couldn't wiggle back and I couldn't wiggle forward! MEOOOOOOWWMIE! MEOOOOOMMIE! I'm HEEEERE! In your car!

Meowm quickly discovered I was crying from under the hood of her miata. I don't have to tell you, THAT'S a TINY car...and guess what...it has a TINY engine.

When she got the hood opened, she couldn't see me! She got her friends and a flashlight and they finally found me stuck below some gadgets and gears. I was as snug as a bug.

Meowm crawled under the car...no way up...Finally her friend found the little space I'd crawled down through - somewhere between this thing on the left and that thing in the middle. Wouldn't you know that I fit just purrrfectly! I couldn't go forward or backward.

There wasn't a lot of manueverablity, even for a cat; It didn't help that I couldn't figure out how to turn around. I was just TOO snug. (Was it MADE for a cat to fit in or WHAT?!)

Meowm was panicked. She didn't know how to take engines apart. Her friends thought they should call the fire department, but Meowm didn't think so...She said if "they don't "know" cats, it'll make it worse."

Finally thinking somewhat straight, Meowm put on her gardening gloves and SQUEEZED her hands in-between the this thing and that thing. She kind of pushed and encouraged my head around. Her friends talked soft, sweet, and encouraging to me. I finally turned my body a little, yet was still stuck. Meowm put her hands in the engine as far as I could and sort of pushed my long back feet (I'm manx if you forgot!). By this time I was sorta in a u-shape. She gently pushed my legs enough that I got my head into the opening, and squirmed my way up......POP! I was out of that engine!

Meowm scooped me into her arms, then let me run and hide. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED!

I heard Meowm cry once I was safely hidden. She didn't cry WHILE I was stuck...Now I was free! What was there to cry about?

Her friends went home, and I had dinner and slept the night away. I was still dirty, and now Meowm has a new nickname for me. I'm her little "grease monkey."

Auntie Wendy called me a turd for giving my Meowm gray hairs! Auntie Barb wonders if the little elf learned his lesson? Am I the little elf?

I don't know, but Meowm won't let ANY of us in the garage right now. She says SHE'S not recovered yet!
