Arrival Story:
Daphne was born into a feral colony that my parents were trying to maintain. It was clear from the start that she was different than the others. She was extremely cautious yet very affectionate and she craved human interaction. She gave birth to two litters of kittens of which only one survived. We adopted Daphne and her son Jack in August of 1997.

Bio:
Daphne was well-traveled (not by choice but she was a trooper) and drove 6,000 miles with us from Massachusetts to California and back. Daphne became a bit depressed so we decided to adopt a kitten to keep her company. From the moment we brought Eddie home, Daphne immediately became his surrogate mother. They were literally inseparable and ate, slept and played together. In May of 2003, Daphne started displaying neurological problems and her health went downhill quickly. She was hospitalized for a week but the vets could not explain or pin down a diagnosis. On June 9th, 2003 we had to say goodbye to our beloved girl.
