Arrival Story:
Before I got Shianne, I already had a beautiful dog called Levi who lived with my mum and me. Then I moved in with my boyfriend and couldn't take him with me, so he stayed with my mum ( I visit them every week without fail). My boyfriend's dad had built a house and attached a self-contained flat that is separated by 2 garages which is where we live, and we were told absolutely no pets allowed. Well I didn't take to that very well, since I need to be around animals, so I suggested sneaking a kitten in. My boyfriend was pretty sure his dad would say no at first but then warm up to the idea, and he was right. His dad saw the carry cage we had bought in the garage and said 'You're not getting a cat are you??!' so my boyfriend told him, 'Yes we are'. His dad went nuts for 10 minutes or so, then went on to talk about something else. So it was made. We had already selected a breeder several weeks before this incident with his father and had been to view the kittens first when they were 8 weeks old, then again at 10 weeks, and finally we chose Shianne (there were 2 boys and 2 girls) and brought her home at 12 weeks old. Everyone just adores her (including my boyfriend's father!) and now we couldn't imagine life without her.
Bio:
Being a highly curious and michievious kitten, Shianne has gotten into several sticky situations, including jumping out the bedroom window and spending several frightened hours outside hiding in the bushes till we got home. She also loves to play with the blinds in her room and one night got really stuck, by wrapping the cord around her paw many times and falling off the windowsill suspended in mid-air! It was a hilarious sight, and she let us know straight away her predicament by yowling murder till we came and freed her.
