Arrival Story:
My grandma was given Simba from the neighborhood kids when he was just a few weeks old. They had found him and gave him to her because they knew that my grandmother loved animals. Unfortunately she couldn't take care of him because she has indoor birds that aren't caged and well ... lets just say grandma didn't want to wake up to missing birds and a well fed kitty. She ended up giving Simba to my mother because she fosters little kittens. Mom took care of Simba for a month and a half. When it was time to take Simba to the Hawaii Humane Society to be put up for adoption, I just couldn't let him go so I ended up taking Simba into my home where he has adopted Curtis and I as his own.

New Friends!

Mommy came home with two new friends for me -- Timon and Pumba. They are two gold fishies. Pumba is black and Timon is orange and white. I really like my new friends. I could watch them all day if I didn't have to eat and take cat naps! As you can see in my picture, I like to keep my friends "close". Okay that's all for now. Ciao ~ Simba

Oh, P.S. Happy Halloween. Mom dressed me as a pirate -- I hated the costume.

My 1st birthday

Hi Meow pals! My very first birthday was on June 4th. I spent the day relaxing and playing with mommy and daddy when they got home from work. I got this new lazer light that drives me crazy and boy do I get a work out!

Today mommy and daddy decided to weigh me and measure out how long I am. It was really funny because mommy had to do a double take at my weight! I am now 15 lbs (and still growing!). I am pretty long too, so far I am 2 feet 7 inches from nose to tail.

Anyway, I just wanted to keep everyone updated. I hope you like the picture of me in the ridiculous sombero hat. Mom brought it back from Texas and though I would look cute in it ... pffff!

Happy Summer everyone!

New Trick!

Hi Purr friends ... Mommy and daddy said I learned a new (and annoying) trick. Every morning daddy gets up for work at 0700. When the alarm goes off, I jump on the bed and purr really loudly and kiss daddy and mommy's face until they wake up. They usually try and hide their face under the covers but I know exactly where there faces are and I give them a little bite on the nose. If that doesn't get them up, I bite their toes. No, it's not because I'm out of food -- mommy makes sure I have plenty of food before she goes to bed. I just really don't want them to be late for work, that's all.

For those who are keeping count:
Tricks
1. Walk on a leash.
2. Personal alarm clock and anti-snooze enforcer.
