Quick Bio:

Coloration:
Black and White

Likes:
Quiet, slow motion love from humans he's familiar with in clothes he's used to, other cats- especially big brother Jürgen, and sadly now picking on little girls like Lucky, Heidi, and Hillary.

Pet-Peeves:
Toby never gets mad, only frightened! There are a lot of scary things in the world!

Favorite Toy:
He grew up outside and wasn't used to toys, so he usually just plays with other cats. When we were first socializing him he had a Piglet toy he threw around and hugged a lot.

Favorite Nap Spot:
A spot on the water bed, in the house at the base of the cat tree, and curled up in his little picnic basket, which sadly one of his friends ruined with urine. x_x Poor little Toby!

Favorite Food:
Any canned food is a special treat for him and he's very thankful.

Skills:
A tiny high pitched little screaming meow that melts hearts, and he can squeeze in between our sliding glass doors and happily reside there for months!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Toby was the grand finale for his kitten factory friendly feral mother, who disappeared for quite awhile around the time of his birth, came back with just him when he was about 8 weeks old, ate, and took off again, then brought him back at 3 months old and taught him how to get food from us and that our yard was a safe place. Little Toby had never seen people before, but he stayed on our deck almost all the time, and when his mother finally left him (probably to die; she was on old kitty and we haven't seen her since) alone he looked to our indoor cats for friendship. He was always at the screen door, admiring the "Indoorses". When we finally had to start shutting the door at night I'd leave the storm door open a crack and he'd squish in between the glass and keep on watching our indoor kitties. Finally he grew brave enough to come in for visits, and even the occasional sleep over, and when we finally got him fixed with the local feral organization he was so happy during his recovery indoors that we knew he had to be inside with the kitties he loved where we could take good care of the shy little thing.

Bio:
Toby has been happy ever since we took him in, and we credit that to Spay and Stay, who helped us get him fixed. Spay and Stay helps feral cat caretakers in Lake County, IL and can help you get those breeding kitties fixed! We do all that we can to help Spay and Stay in Toby's honor, but the more volunteers we get the more work we seem to take on, so new volunteers are pretty much always needed! Toby would say a word of thanks but he's toooo shhhhyyy!
