In the kitchen window where he can look outside when he wants to and there is plenty of human traffic who can't resist his charms
Favorite Food:
He likes the special attention of an occasional table scrap, but is mostly content with his dry food. He's always excited if we switch brands, though! I guess he just likes to try new things?
Skills:
Waving his paw in the air like he's saying hi, strange little nasal sounds that sound like "Uff" when he's happy, the ability to fly 8 ft in the air and land spread eagle on the screen door, and his own cute little voice that I use to make him talk? x_x

Arrival Story:
Yuugan was born to a semi-friendly feral kitty, her second to last litter. He had a beautiful twin sister Dani and a brother Mel, but sadly Dani passed away before they were even 8 weeks old. Jürgen and Mel, however, went from being very shy and feral little kittens to being people loving big kittens, and they started coming in to visit when they were about 3 months old. Mel always wanted out after an hour or two, but Jürgen started getting attached and became more and more hesitant to go back outside... Eventually the first snow of the year hit while he was inside, and when I put him out he panicked and started throwing himself at the door! He was hitting it so hard I thought he was going to break the glass or his skull before he gave up, so I had to let the little guy back in... You guessed it, never set foot outside since. -.-;; Mel came in for visits still but could only stay for an hour or so before he got antsy and started fights with other cats or hung around the door. Sadly he passed away in his sleep in April of 2004 but the fact remains that we would have taken him in if he had wanted it and we're just glad he got to have a happy life.
Bio:
Jürgen is a people cat and a cat's cat! He charmed his way into the family quite well, and he has welcomed newcomers since as good as any other cat we have. His first reaction to a new kitten is always to start licking it and he loves snuggling with people and cats. He seems to always be an impossibly good mood, so much so that you can't help smiling when you see his happy little face. We call him the little sunshine, and with good reason.
In June of 2005 we had a tragic accident where our back door got left wide open, and our cats were hanging out in the backyard all day until I woke up and noticed. Out of 4 cats that were still outside, I managed to wrangle Toby, Scooby, and Nat back inside. But my sweet little Jürgen went the wrong way. I had to go back and shut the door and do a kitty head count to see if anyone else was missing, and when I went back outside and was getting close to Jürgen a garbage truck came roaring past our house and scared Jürgen into a frenzy. He took off so fast I could hardly tell the general direction he went, it was like a nightmare. We spent the whole summer searching for him, bugging neighbors, handing out fliers, all of that and we only got close to him once a few months later when he was hanging out in a terribly heavy wooded and swampy part of the neighbor hood. He was on the edge of some woods around a deep pond, and I edged along the pond as quickly but quietly as I good. I got about 2ft away from him but some twigs snapped under my feet and scare him into the heavy forest. We set traps there for weeks but were only lucky enough to catch a few raccoons; no Jürgy. We miss him so much and haven't given up hope even though we've been called out to look at at least 5 Jürgen look-a-likes!
