Sleeping with or just being near me...he sleeps with me every night and is always at my side when I'm home, and if I'm not then he walks around the house meowing at the door until my Mom says "she'll be home in a little while Cruize" then he lays down.

He has to have a full bowl of food at all times, and he must have a deep litter box. If he can't dig or if there isn't enough litter in there he'll let you know! And he hates his belly rubbed!

he has urinary tract problem so he has to have special prescription food but before that he loves the wet food from a can and he loves his Wisker Lickins treats!!

Arrival Story:
The date was December 12, 2000 and it was a blustery, cold day outside. I was at school having a pretty normal day. Unknowingly at home my Mom wasn't having such a normal day! She was in the kitchen on the phone with my Aunt Angela when her conversation was interrupted by the faint sound of a cat's meow...so she stops what she is doing and listens closely, telling my Aunt "I swear I hear a cat meowing but I don't see anything," as she looks out our kitchen window which she can see the front porch from. So she walks around the house and realizes it has to be coming from somewhere on the front porch because the only place she can hear it is when she is at the front of the house. So she walks over to the front door, meanwhile, my Aunt is on the phone laughing at her saying she is crazy...lol...My Mom opens the front door and looks out our glass door at the ground and doesn't see anything, just then she turns to the right and starring eye to eye at her, hanging off of our Christmas garland around our doorway, was this teeny little gray Tabby kitten!! My Mom jumps back startled then starts laughing hysterically and tells my Aunt "You are NOT going to believe this one!" So she tells my Aunt what she sees and they have a good laugh. Who wouldn't laugh at a little kitten hanging off garland in mid air looking in our front door window!! lol So she says "what am I gonna do I can't leave it out here it'll freeze!" Well, my Aunt Angela isn't any help because all she can do is laugh and doesn't have anything productive to say about it all. So my Mom gets off the phone with her and attempts to take care of this little kitten. She opens the door and it jumps down and sits right in front of her and looks up at her with it's pretty little blue eyes. (Oh and I should probably give you a little background on myself because I'm the reason we have Cruize...I am a downright Cat LOVER!! I love cats I always have. I have a special kinship with them. I love all animals but cats are by far my favorite. I understand them, and they are drawn to me, they always have been. I could be in the prescense of the meanest cat in the world and they will rub all over me and let me pet them. I'm kind of the modern day catwoman I guess!! At the time I was in high school and was bugging my Mom to get me a cat too! Anyways back to the story) So she looks down at it and says. "what are you doing here? Do you belong to someone?" Like the cat is gonna answer her!! lol So she picks him up and walks next door and asks our neighbors if they know who he belongs to and they didn't they just told her they have been bringing it inside to keep it warm and giving it milk. But before today they haven't seen it or it's mother. So she puts out a little bowl of milk and sets him back down outside and goes back inside. Well my Mom has a soft spot for animals too but she isn't real fond of them. So she goes about her business for a little while but keeps checking on him as he still sits outside and meows. So a little later she opens to door again and before she can even say anything he runs in the house and straight upstairs into my bedroom. So now my Mom is chasing this little kitten up the stairs! (Man I wish i could've been there to see this lol) And once again she talks to it...she says "what are you doing!! you can't go in there!" So she goes under my vanity and gets him and puts him back outside, reluctantly. Just then my Aunt Joyce pulls in and sees my Mom standing at the front door and she sees the little kitten. She comes in and my Mom tells her whats going on and of course she laughs hysterically. Then my Aunt Joyce tells her "well you better do something fast before Laura gets home and sees it!" Knowing my love for cats. So my Mom calls the pound and asks them to come out and get it because she doesn't want it to freeze, like having them keep it for a week and if someone doesn't take it they kill it is any better!! GRRR!! Ok I'm better now! So she gets one of my old Easter baskets from the closet and puts an old sheet in it and goes out and gets the little kitten and brings it inside to keep it warm while they wait for the guy from the pound. Meanwhile, my Aunt Joyce is telling her that she should keep it, my Aunt Joyce is a cat lover as well but she already had 2 cats and couldn't take another. Oh yeah my Aunt is really laying it on thick to my Mom saying "look at its little face Maria, how can you get rid of him! If Laura finds out what you did she'll kill you!" lol Plus the poung guy was taking forever, probably on purpose my Mom thought, and my Aunt kept saying "he better get here before you go get Laura cause if she sees it you'll never get rid of it!" And he was just laying in this huge basket looking up at her so pathetic, like don't give me away! He was soooo little when he was a kitten he shouldn't even have been away from his mother yet but somehow he was all alone. So finally the pound guy gets there and my Mom lets him in and tells the guy that she is going to keep him! He is just too cute to give away. And the guy looked relieved and told her about their policy that if no one takes it in a week they euthinase it!! And she doesn't regret her decision after hearing that! Thank God! So she asks the guy if he knew if it was a boy or a girl and he said well it's so cute it must be a girl! (oh yeah real scientific there guy) He said he couldn't really tell but thought it was a girl when he turned it over!! lol So my Mom apologizes to the guy for making him come all the way out just to tell him she was keeping it and he said no problem he wished more trips would end like that. So by this time its time for me to get out of school and my Mom is getting ready to leave to come get me. My Aunt Joyce stays at home with the cat. So my Mom has this weird grin on her face when I get in the car to come home. And she says I have a surprise for you at home. And I'm like uh oh, I'm scared. lol And she starts laughing and wouldn't tell me what it was. She said it was in our downstairs bathroom by the dining room. (later on this would become Cruize's bedroom) So we get home and I walk in and my Aunt Joyce has the same weird grin on her face and I'm thouroughly confused by now. So my Mom tells me to open the bathroom door and I'm like no! is something gonna jump out and get me? So she opens the door a little and pulls out the basket and I see him laying there and I screamed so loud!! I was like OHHH YOU GOT ME A KITTEN!!!!! and she said well he found us!! lol I bent down and started crying cause he was so beautiful!! I picked him up and held him and he just layed there and purred and looked at me like he was in love with me!!! He was the cutest little kitten in the whole world and now he is the cutest cat in the whole world! That's the story of how I got Cruize and I have loved every minute with him since then!! He is my world and my best friend!! I love you Cruize!!

I'd like to thank my friend Mr. Stoke for being so kind as to tag me and put me on the spot...mol..It's ok I forgive you! :) I've never done this before so I hope I get it right...mol...I shall now procede with the kind words of 10 of my furry friends and then p-mail them as to let them know and they shall pick 10 cats and so on and so on....:)
1-To my dear friends Buddy Baxter Button face and Monster Marvin Muffin face for they were part of my few first friends here on catster and I couldn't choose one without the other and especially to Baxter for it soon will be his wedding day. Congratulations Baxter and Tucka....many blessings and happiness to you both!
2-To another dear friend Mr. Tom J. Katt because we share many similar interests especially that of CSI and wine! MOL. Maybe someday soon we shall sit together and share a good bottle of vino and talk about how HOT!! Nick Stokes is......(Meowmy stop putting your 2 cents in!! Your making me sound g-a-y!) MOL....

Well tomorrow is my birthday and I am soooo excited!! I'm gonna be 7 years old!! I can't wait because I always get something special for my birthday! And everyone pays so much attention to me!...more than usual even! Mommy (Laura) is planning a special dinner and Aunt Gretchen and Aunt Rachel might come over to celebrate too! Gramma is gonna make me a special ham dinner because I LOVE HAM!! I can't wait to see all my gifts! I'll let you all know how it goes!!
