Arrival Story:
One of "Dad"'s co-workers found Stig by the side of the road and brought him into the office the following day. "Dad," an enormous softy, promptly agreed to adopt him (with "Mom"'s easily-won acquiescence). Stig was so small, at the time, that he could fit in the palms of our hands, and we could not definitively tell whether he was male or female. A trip to the vet revealed that he was, in deed, male and only three weeks old, which explained why he was so wobbly on his feet (his vision was not clear yet) and slept nearly twenty hours a day! After a week of spoon-feeding him dry cat food, mixed with water and mashed into a thin pudding, he began to eat from a dish on his own, grow rapidly, and metamorphose into a healthy, active kitten.
