So there we were, sitting in the window looking at the birds and folks going by and a lady came by walking her growler on a leash. He was a pretty young one but big. Suddenly he got away from her and came right up to the window and stood up and looked at us! Right in the eyeballs!
"Run!" yelled Winnie, so I did!
Mama's Chinese screen went over and by the time we got to the kitchen we were going full tilt. Several dishes and other trinkets hit the floor and Mama came running!
"George! Winnie!" Boy, she was scared to death! "Are you all right?"
I was sitting on the dining room table with my tail in bottle brush mode and Winnie was peeking out from under the buffet.
"Don't trust her George," she hissed. "She might be part of the conspiracy." Winnie gets paranoid like that sometimes.
I let Mama pet me but I stayed on the table and kept my bottle brush tail for about half an hour.
Winnie did the "low crawl" down the hall and hid under the bed for most of the afternoon but I gave in and went to sit on Mama's lap. I didn't want her to think I was scared 'cause really... I wasn't. You believe me, don't you?

Ho hum... it's Sunday and Mama didn't have to go to work today. I can work her all day long. I began by crying for more food (even though I was already full) and then sat by my toys and gave her that "look." She sat on the floor to play with me ... she got me some new velvet balls with feathers yesterday... and I was enjoying batting at them, lazily of course. Darn! Along came my little sister Winnie and wouldn't you just know it.. she horned in. Humph! I left the two "women" to play their silly games alone and stretched out in the sunlight on the desk. Oh she kept begging, "George, won't you please come play with us?" but I kept my eyes closed. I am working on what I can do to keep her hopping and begging tonight. Hee hee...
