Quick Bio:
-pound cat-cat rescue

Birthday:
August 11th 2006

Coloration:
Ticked

Likes:
She really LOVES to play rough...She's all Teeth & claws when we play. She is a very active kitty and she keeps my day from being boring or ordinary.

Pet-Peeves:
She really doesn't like being held for too long. She'll get mad and stick her tongue out alittle while she meows to get down....it's really funny.

Favorite Toy:
Gabbee loves her furry mice and anything with a string. She'll attack anything that moves, too, so you really have to watch your feet and toes.

Favorite Nap Spot:
She likes sleeping on beds the most. She is just now starting to seek out my lap for a short nap. When we first got her, there was no way you were going to get her to sit on a lap, let alone take a nap on one!

Favorite Food:
She just loves her canned Fancy Feast Medley. She will only eat the Florentine Style though....No, she's not spoiled! =)

Skills:
She can capture the heart of anyone coming into our home.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
We lost our cat, Buster, about a year before from cancer. He had been with us for 14 years. When he died I didn't really want another kitty. I just felt no other cat could follow in Buster's footsteps. We were catless for about a year. It was a lonely year. I had never NOT been without a cat in my life. A friend took me to our local PetSmart to look at the cats up for adoption. I didn't even want to look at them. My friend turned me around and I locked eyes with a very cute kitty in one of the cages. I fell in love with that sweet, sweet face and had to take her home that very same day!

Bio:
I renamed her "Gabbee" right away. Her name had been Fiona, but I didn't feel it was the right name for her. Little did I know that when I gave her the name, Gabbee, that it would fit her perfectly. She is a real talker. She'll carry on a conversation with anyone who'll listen. She'll come running down the stairs, after one of her napping sessions, meowing the whole way. When someone comes home, she'll be there to tell you all about her day. She has taught me that I do have room in my heart for another set of whiskers! I'm sure Gabbee and Buster would have really loved each other.

Wow, it's been a LONG time since I've written in my diary! So much has happened since then. My human sister got married last month (September 25, 2010)! Her last name is now Nelson. They have their own kitty now. I haven't met him though. They live about 30 minutes away from us, so we don't see much of them. Mommy says we have to give them "space" to begin their new life together for awhile. I really miss her.

I got to see my human grandparents again when they came for the wedding. I also met two of my human aunts and a cousin, too! There were a lot of legs in the house, so I kind of stayed upstairs where it was quieter a lot of the time.

My mommy had leg surgery in July and has been healing from that for a while. She just went to the doctor and he said they have to wait another 6 weeks before they can take the screws out of the bone. Maybe in early December.

Merry Christmas!

Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I last wrote in my diary! Life has just been soooooo busy! Summer is in full swing and I'm loving every minute of it. Thankfully it has not been too hot out there. My mom & dad went on vacation last month and I stayed home with my dog brother, Jake, my human brother, Patrick, and my human sister, Jennifer. They were gone forever! For two whole weeks! I'm glad they are home now. I really missed them! I wished they could have taken the dog though. He sometimes drives me nuts!
