Nicknames:
Divalicious, Princess Diva, Divu, Deevil, Sweetie, Cutie, The Boss, Chunky Monkey

Quick Bio:
-purebred-pound cat

Likes:
Bossing around her older and much bigger Maine Coon brothers, being first in line for feeding time, Mommy's lap at the computer, "hiding" behind the shower curtain (see photo)

Pet-Peeves:
Strangers in the house, her big brothers fighting (she'll march right on over and tell them to break it up)

Favorite Toy:
Soft sparkly ball (pink, of course)

Favorite Nap Spot:
On top of the sink where the InstaHot warms it up, the middle rung of the cat tree watching the birds

Favorite Food:
Can you believe coffee?! We'll catch her dipping her paw into our coffee mugs and licking it off her paws. Bad Diva!

Skills:
Looking cute, modeling, meowing without opening her mouth (sounds like whining), drinking coffee, purring loudly for such a tiny girl

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
We went to the animal shelter to look at a kitty we had seen on their website who I was convinced was the sister of two of our other cats from the same shelter. Turns out she wasn't but we saw this other frightened little face huddled in a teepee in the back of her cage. I thought she was a kitten but she was over two years old. Severely underweight, matted, with greasy fur; she was so shy and withdrawn, we felt so sorry for her. We decided we'd sleep on it overnight and if she was still there the next day we would bring her home to our three boys. We figured it was OK if she was a shy, "under the bed" kitty because the boys had personalities to spare. She WAS still there the next day so we brought her home and set her up in a private room for a few days. At first she wouldn't eat or drink or even come out of the cat carrier. We spent lots of time with her just hanging out and playing the Calming Kitty CD.

Bio:
She finally came around, and now she is THE BOSS of everyone. She went from 3 pounds to almost 6, her fur fluffed out and she lives up to her new name of Diva, (it was Nuan Nuan Li which I guess is still her "ahem" CFA registered name). Turns out she has polycystic kidney disease but aside from a special diet and probable shortened life span she's doing great and we'll love her for however long she's with us! She is still shy with strangers but with us she's a true Diva.
