Arrival Story:
I found Ember at an adoption fair at Petsmart, she had an infection in her right eye that caused her eyelid to droop, giving her a roguish look. I felt sorry for the tiny scrap of a kitten, and wanted nothing more but to take her home with me and give her a happier life.
Bio:
I brought Ember home on June 6th, o6. She was an energetic kitten, frightened of nothing. She immediately hit it off with the dog, and my two other cats; Celeste and Skimbleshanks. I took her outside to play in a the big field near our house often and whenever someone came by with a dog, or a roaming cat passed by she would rush up to them and give them smooches and try to play with them. Anywhere I went Ember would follow of her own accord. She never ceased to amaze and amuse me with her kittenish ways. Towards the end of June, Ember began to show signs of illness and was refusing food. We took her to the vet, who said that we should give her baby food and prescribed some eyedrops for her still infected eye.
We took her home and by July 3rd she was already (to my eyes) looking much healthier. My hopes picked up. However it was not long before she became even sicker than before. All she could do was lie stretched out on the floor wheezing; I hated to see her that way, so I often wrapped her in a blanket and rocked her or just held her for hours. Soon the only way I could nourish her frail body was to spoon feed her baby food. A day that I will always remember was the day, about four days before Ember's death, when I took her her with me to sit outside in the field for the last time. That day she played with the neighbors dogs and kittens, although she did so far less energetically than a healthy kitten would have, I could see that she was enjoying herself immensely. She even recieved a washing from the mother of the kittens whom she had been playing with. On July 15th, I took Ember to the vet again. "At this point" the vet said, "She is already half dead, her organs are shutting down". I asked the vet what he thought we should do, but I already knew the answer. During her last moments Ember purred.

I've been tagged by my beloved earth brofur Elijah Featherbone.
Here are the rules:

And here's my seven random facts:
1. My momkatt almost adopted an older kitten, but adopted me instead when she found out he was taken. That was very lucky because otherwise I might have died without a furever family.
2. I was almost named "Spark", but instead momkatt named me Ember for my smoldering eyes.
3. I love my momma Lucky at the bridge furry, furry much; I don't know what I would have done without her.
4. Although I was 3 months old when I went to the bridge, I looked like a kitten of merely eight weeks because my illness stunted my growth.
5. I should've mentioned that I love my daddy at the bridge furry much too. Purrs to you daddy Fred!
6. I had to have my medicine given to me from a little bottle. After I went to the bridge momkatt taped my bottle to the wall next to a picture of me, but sadly, it was lost when her room caught fire.
7. The day momkatt brought me home I started playing with family dog right away, I was never afraid of any other animal.

There's going to be a double wedding tomorrow for Sami and Gem/Tiger and Whiskey Lee, and I'm going to be a flowergirl! I can't wait too see what my dress looks like! Soon my mamma and daddy (Lucky & Fred) will be married too. I snuck a peek at mamma's wedding dress, it is so beautiful! Also because my sisfur Cinderpaw and her boyfurriend Morris have adopted Jaykit, I am now an auntie. Well I'd better go to bed *yawns* don't want to be tired at the wedding tomorrow!

I met a wonderful cat today. Her name is Lucky and upon seeing how young me and my sisfur Cinderpaw were to be at the Bridge without a mommy she lovingly took us under her wings and adopted us. We're even going to have a new daddy soon. Me and and Cinderpaw are so happy we haven't paused from purring all day.
