Leave a treat for Buddy Sachs

Mom and Dad call me Buddy or Bud!

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed-cat rescue

I love to play with dad when he get up at 3:30 a.m. I also love to stretch out full length for mom or dad to rub my tummy.

I really don't have any peeves. I just love life as it is and take it as it comes along.

Favorite Toy:
I love the cat balls mom bought for us.

Favorite Nap Spot:
I love to sleep on the back of Mom's chair or in her bed or in a basket next to her side of the bed.

Favorite Food:
Mom feeds me the good stuff....IAMS and once in a great while a treat from the table but not very often, so it really is a treat.

Just loving my human family.

Arrival Story:
Mom and Dad's 2 nephews and neice found me and my two brothers and three sisters, abandoned, when we were about 2 wks. old. Our eyes were not even opened yet. As the kid's mom could not take care of us she asked my present human mom and dad if they could do it. Boy, they took such good care of us feeding us and keeping us clean and warm. Mom would put a plastic soda bottle filled with hot water in our kennel. She would wrap it up in a blanket and we would cuddle up to the bottle and go to sleep. I would climb up on top of the bottle and play "KING OF THE BOTTLE!" Boy, when it was time to eat what a noisey bunch we would be. But soon mom and dad would have us fed and cleaned and cuddled and ready to settle down again. I was the biggest of the litter, so mom and dad tell me. I also would yell the loudest when it came time to eat.

I have a brother named JayJay and he is a lot of company for me...but...like most younger brother he is a pain, too. If he can't find where I am hiding he cries for either me or mom. Boy, I sure like it when I can go off in a corner of the house and get in a couple extra cat naps. I love to get up with Dad early in the morning, when he has to go to work. He is up at 3:30 a.m. and I keep him company till he leaves. Sometimes he is up early enough to play a bit. But mind you we are quiet so we don't wake mom up... Then at 6 a.m. I go in and jump on mom and pull her hair and bump her to tell her it is time to get up. Then we go out in the kitchen & she lets out those pesky dogs and then Jay and I get our vitamins. Boy do we love them and wished she would give us more than one...but alas that is all we get a day. I love to greet dad when he gets home. I will lay down on the floor and stretch out as long as I can and show my tummy. He can never resist me when I do this and I always get my tummy rubbed. In the evening I sometimes am allowed to go into the den with mom and dad. This is where we all stayed when we were so tiny... I love to sit on the back of mom's chair while she is on the computer and I will put my front paw on her shoulder to let her know, "I am here mom." I like to stay with her while she is doing her chores and watch her cook dad's supper. She is always telling me I am her boy and that she loves me very much.... I love her too! December 9,2004 Someone new has been added to my home. Her name is Casey. She is a Tortise Shell color female kitty. She is a stray and Mom and Dad found her in the same area that my siblings and I were found. She is about a year or so old. Mom and Dad found her in August of 2004. They did not know it at the time when they found her that she was in the family way. She was so thin and tiny. When mom took her to be spayed and get her shots that is when they found out she was going to have babies. As she was only a couple of weeks along it was decided to terminate the pregnancy. I remember mom saying it was breaking her heart to do this but that Casey was so young in physically in poor condition to have kittens. Anyway, Casey is fine now and she has put on weight and looks beautiful. JayJay, my brother and I love her. JayJay and her play together all the time and really rough and tumble around. On the other hand though, I think I am in love with Casey. We sleep together a lot and she loves to lay with her head on me. She washes me all the time and keeps my face really clean. I try to do the same. We play together a lot but we are not as rough with each other like her and JayJay are. I am so glad we have Casey living with us. Hopefully mom will get a picture of her up on Catster so you all can see how pretty she is and why I love her so......

WOW did mom every scare the dickens out of me today.

To begin with...we all HATE it when mom vacumes the rugs. We
HATE that vacume cleaner that makes all that awful noise.

We all scatter and hide when mom gets it out...today I hid in the
pantry. All of a sudden mom came into the pantry with the cleaner
and scared the dickens out of me.

Oh my gosh, I was so very scared...when I tore out of the pantry
I went up one side of mom and down the other...scared her I think.

Anyway, I hid in mom's bedroom. I heard the vacume stop and heard
mom come down the hallway to the bedroom.

She was talking to me and shushing me...she would lean down to pick
me up and I would walk away. She kept talking to me and finally
I let her pick me up. She rubbed my heard, hugged me and kissed me.
She told me that she was so very sorry for scaring me and that
she did not know I was in the pantry.

She held me for a while and petted me and talked to me. I calmed down
and I eventually forgave her. She begged me to so what could I

Gosh we hate that vacume cleaner!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all here on Catster. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!
Did you all have a nice New Year's? Ours, my sister and brothers
had a nice warm, cozy, sleep one. Dad had to work on NY day so we
were all in bed early. I don't thing anyone saw the new year come
in. Such a shame...although JayJay might have been on the condo
looking out the window as he does a lot of times. He pokes his head
between the drapes after mom closes them and peeks outside. Mom
and Dad says he is their watch cat... Maybe they should put a sign

All is well with us here in So. Calif. There has been quite a bit
of rain here in the desert. It has been cold, wet, damp and cloudy
as well as gloomy but we don't mind it as Dad keeps the pellet stove
going and we are nice and warm. My sister Casey lays in front of
the pellet stove in a little bed that Mom keeps there for her. We
all say she is hogging the heat. There is also a stool that Mom
keeps in front of the stove with a lovely soft thick blanket on it
and I like to sleep there sometimes...

That is all for now...today I plan to do some eating, playing with
my bro. Bumper and a lot of sleeping and just keeping warm...

A Very Merry Christmas to all and an update.

It is Christmas Day, very early in the morning. Mom is up but Dad is still in bed. As I am the big guy here in my house I thought I would add an update to here.

We all are doing very well. Mom and Dad take a lot of good care of us and we love them for doing it. We have two very large condos that are in front of the big windows in the livingroom. We all spend a lot of time on those condows because the sun shines in and it is so nice to lay in the sunshine.

Our sister, Casey, is getting very fat from just laying around. Mom is a tad concerned with her weight. JayJay is slim and trim because it seems he is playing all the time with his favorite toy.

We have a new member in our family. His name is Bumper. He is a
Himalayan breed. He was a stray that came to mom and dad's door.
Mom fed him for a while. They tried to find out where he belonged
but couldn't so they brought him into the house. This happened a
year ago around this time of the year. Bumper fit in with the
rest of us very well. He is a lot of fun to play with and he joins
us on the condo in the sunshine and on mom and dad's bed. We all
love him and he loves us.

Mom says that they named him Bumper because he loves to bump and rub
against anything that he can find to do so. Mom also says she will
be putting up a photo of him soon.

I guess that is all for now...I hope that all my friends here on
Catster have a wonderful Christmas....
