Arrival Story:
I read about these unusually smart cats on the Internet. We only had one breeder in South Florida. She sent me pictures of her last 4 litters and I was hooked! My husband and I picked up our "new son" and the rest is history!!! Unfortunately, he only bonded with me, not the hubby....

Bio:
My mommy saved me! I am now officially 8 lives out of 9. I was feeling really, really bad, my stomach was distended, and my appetite was really low. Mommy took me to the vet, and he did blood (ouch) work and x-rays. Mommy was very sad as that mean vet said I was going to die within a month of liver cancer! Mommy wasn't convinced since my symptoms came on soooo fast. He wanted to "put me down", but mommy said NO WAY and took me home. She did schedule me for surgery to "remove" this cancer. After we got home she did a lot of research on the internet compairing my x-ray and blood work, and told daddy (we don't always get along) to bring home Milk Thistle. I was a brat for a bit and would not eat things I saw mommy put it in... After my surgery, mommy still didn't want me to be "put down", and she brought me home. I finally started to eat what she gave me, and wow did I get better fast! I got into something on the Christmas tree that she didn't know about, but she healed me! I am strong again, and back to getting into trouble and getting lots of hugs from mommy. I am so glad she knew I had a strong personality and drive, and didn't let the vet put me down. I had a thing called "fatty liver." I am sooooo happy again. ;-) Sad Update: 11 Months later my liver started going bad again. Neither the doctor nor mommy could help me this time. On Thanksgiving just after midnight I passed. Mommy is very sad as I went from frisky to kitty heaven in 3 hours! Mommy stayed with me to the end. She loved me completely - even daddy was concerned and saddened over me leaving. I loved life and my life. I am in a good place now. No pain (although I didn't suffer in the end), plenty of din-dins and treats. Narcy was my baby and is and will be missed and fondly remembered for many years to come.

His Authority:
These humans are here to please ME!! They "think" they bought me from a breeder, but alas, I OWN them. They give me treats and feed me real meat at my demanding calls, and they play with me when I decide it is time to play! I sleep with mom because it is MY choice... I love being a Chausie!!! Life is Great.
