it has been so long since i've used this site, but i'm glad its still here. so, these past few years, timmy has had quite the adventure. in october 2007 he had pu surgery. over a course of two days, he was acting kind of funny, trying to go to teh bathroom, i thought he might have been constipated, but that wasnt it, i had no idea about urinary blockage in cats at this point. so i went to a&p and got a saline enema for timmy. wrong never saline! mineral oil for cats as the vet told me, but anyway later that night, i rushed him to oradell emergency, and it turns out he was blocked. they put a catheter in him, and i was able to pick him up the next day but then he got blocked again! this time they said i had to do the surgery, so i did. i wish i had known about other emergency vet clinics cause oradell was soooooooooooo expensive. but he seemed to be fine til recently.

fast forward over a year, i took timmy to the vet at the end of jan (because his urine was pink) and turns out he had a uti, and had stones in his bladder! the dr gave him antibiotics and he was fine for a couple weeks, then he was straining again. it was sunday so i took him to a different emergency vet clinic, and on the way there i think he passed a stone. he was yowling in the car. having done that i prob didnt have to go , but 175$ later he was home, fine, and i scheduled him for bladder stone removal surgery the next week since my vet couldn't take him any earlier.

he had surgery on mon 23rd, and i was able to bring him home tuesday, and he's been pretty good up until yesterday where he got off his collar somehow and was licking at his stitches, jesus christ! better safe than sorry, i was able to bring him to the vet and the dr said they were fine. blah, and his stones were phosphates, so a special diet should prevent future occurrences. HOPEFULLY.

he's been running around, jumping, and a bit more playful lately, which i will safely assume is a good sign. but not out of the woods yet. my other cat, soobin, timmy's brother, is sick too now i think, he doesnt have great teeth. so i have to bring him to the vet also...
