Arrival Story:
We were at the local Humane Society looking at all the kitties. We were actually looking for a kitten, but all they had were black cats and I'm not into black cats. I had held and petted about a dozen cats when I spied Daisy. She was in a bottom back cage, kind of out of sight. She looked like she had been through the ringer. Her card said she had had ear mites, fleas, and had just had a litter of kittens. Her belly was shaved and she looked so thin and sad. I took her out and held her and she just cuddled in. I petted her and brought her to my husband and she just nuzzled him. Then I brought her to the play room to see if she was playful and boy was she! We decided to adopt her then and there. They put her in the cage that holds the adoptees while you fill out all the paperwork. While she was in there, a woman walked by and said, "That has to be the ugliest cat I have ever seen!" I felt so bad for Daisy. But we took her home and she ended up living in our bedroom for 3 months before she and our other cat, Maisey ended up getting along. Now they play and romp together and we love our little kittes.
