Thanks for your purrs and hugs and mum support. If just purrs could make me feel better I would be better for sure. You are all great pals ! Some cats were wondering-I am not vomiting or really acting nauseous.I act interested in food. I just won't eat. I drank a little cream last night so mum is going to get me more and some chicken noodle soup to see if I will drink some broth and we haven't tried baby food so she is going to get that too. After not eating anything since last morning, just a few minutes ago, I ate a few bites of American cheese! My mum will feed me anything now. Boy, would I have taken advantage of that not too long ago. So, as along as I eat a few bites everyday mum is going to keep trying to see if this is a bump to get over. She is not very optimistic though. When she looks me in the eyes, most of the time I am far away, you know what I mean? Not much of me is looking back at her.
My mama knows that faraway look very well. That's how I looked at her for the first 8 weeks I was on chemo. All I wanted to do was sleep. Hopefully you'll start feeling more like your old self soon.
Did your vet check to see if your B12 was low? Sometimes kitties with lymphoma have trouble with absorbing B12 and it can make you weak and lethargic. Mine was VERY low so I got injections and they helped give me some energy.
Eating is very important. It doesn't matter what it is, if you're interested, eat it. Even though you're not vomiting, you still might feel a little nauseous or even have a little kitty heartburn from your chemo. Pepcid might help. 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night. It's good that you haven't lost your interest in food, but you just need a little push to get past that yucky feeling in your tummy.
Mama and I are sending you and your mum lots of hugs and purrs. We know how you both feel. Hang in there and hopefully things will improve soon.
I'm glad to read that you ate a little American cheese fur your mommy. I hope and hope it is just a "bump" and that you have a lot more quality time left with your mommy.
much love and purrrs,
Sally Maria is right that you could be nauseous without showing any signs. Check with the vet to see what the right dosage of Pepcid is for your weight.
Purrs for you and your Mum.
Keeping a steady purr going for you mate and let's hope this is just a bump in the road and you can get over this. Just remember I am always purring for you mate as long as you need it.
I saw the vet Dec.2. I got fluids with the b-12 and b complex added in. Mum got me the pepcid too. Mum also upped my predisolone dose. I am eating a little better now but still not nearly enough. We have a few kinds of fancy feast, tuna, baby food and turkey going through the rounds right now. My sibs are all jealous! They see me get offered food 10or more times a day. Too bad sibs! Also, I haven't been in the basement all week! Thanks for your input friends.

I know that far away look. I had it in the days leading up to mommy's decision to help me to the bridge.
Thanks so much for sending me gifts and for showing me around The Bridge. Mommy feels better knowing that I have a friend on the other side. She still cries a lot, though. But I think things are getting better day by day.
