Spring has Sprung - new coats on the way

We're into our first week of Spring here, although it's still pretty cool at night. Mummy is delighted 'cause she HATES winter. Hates coming home in the dark and fussing around with the log-splitter starting the fire and shivering until it cranks up the heat. Hates bits of firewood and chips and sawdust everywhere on the carpet. Hates shelling out all that money for firewood! Yep, she hates winter.
Today she got the Appaloosa out and took his rug off and brushed his coat. Apparently he enjoyed it immensely. Mummy looked like she'd been in a snowstorm when she finished. Sometimes she does it to us with the Zoom Groom but generally we're not too keen on it. I keep my short velour coat spick'n'span so she never has to do me. Tara can get a bit scruffy sometimes and Zephyr too 'cause she's too fat to reach a lot of places, so they get groomed. And of course Arrow gets a lot of hand grooming because she sits on Mummy so much. Her coat is very thick and soft and Mummy just loves stroking it. She can tell us apart in the dark by how our fur feels.
