None of my family have written in their diaries in a long time, Fluff! Well, my friend Madison catmailed me and asked how we were doing. I thought I'd share my response so everyone knows what crazy things have been going on!

Fluff-fluff! Hey! We've been alright. Still haven't found my little brother Jürgen but I think he's having fun and I've been trying to go outside and go look for him! Also... my crazy humans went and ended up stuck with two more little cats, this time from Puerto Rico! They were going to "foster" them and find them a "good home" here in the US, but locals shelters and adoption programs were all packed and during the wait to get them in they just weaseled their way into the family. She still has to gather up all their cutest pictures and make them their webpages! =^o^=

One of the old cats from our feral colony has come back recently and so now we are feeding Hannah and her mother, we'll have to make a page for her, too, if we can get a few good pictures of her!

And... well the holidays are coming, and we're pretty sure the humans are spoiling us. We got new litterboxes, and they seem to be hiding some cat toys in the closet! The strange fake tree they put in the living room each year isn't put up yet because there are some guys coming here every day and banging on all the walls doing some "Remodeling" or something, but really it seems like they are just giving us new wood to scratch up. But I heard the humans talking and now they are ready to put it up and we can all climb in it and knock candy-canes off of it for the humans to eat! It's a really fun game!

That's right! We're keeping little Nips and Moggie! And our long-term foster cat, Hillary, has finally made progress so we've decided it would only be fair for her to stay as the official downstairs kitty. And the mysterious Chibi-Usa who disappeared back when Jürgen was a baby has returned, fat and fluffy for the winter. Who knows what will happen next? Fluff-fluff!

I was wondering do you have a list of photos of all the strays that visit your feral colony? I belong to a couple of groups for missing pets and the photos might help find their missing owners.

Two of the groups are missingcatassistance it's a yahoo group and the purrs and woofs for the missing which is on Catster.

It would be really good to have a list of all the photos gathered at all the feral sites, so those that are missing their friends can check it every now and then to see if their ones turn up there.

Thanks for working to help lost kitties, Karyn! My little brother Jürgen is still missing after 5 years and I know we would have loved some way to ask all the local feral colony caretakers or browse pictures they'd taken of newbies. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately we haven't seen much in the way of strays here. Our colony is very small with some very territorial kitties so in all these years we've only had 5 new cats make an appearance. 4 of the 5 were ferals who were either unaltered or had already been neutered and ear-tipped and 1 was only here for 1 night and that was several years ago and hasn't been spotted since. The "Chibi-Usa" I talked about in this diary is one of the ferals. We thought "she" was a cat from our colony back in the day when no one was fixed but took "her" in and found out "she" was a male, just a relative I s'pose. If you do get a site like that set up we'd love to get a link to it in case we have any newcomers, though! We had Jürgen join your group.
