Skills: Staring at me with those ocean green eyes.
Arrival Story: We read Gabriel King's novels, "The Wild Road" and "The Golden Cat" and the main character was a Burmilla. That set us on a hunt for a Burmilla cat of our own. There are not many breeders in the US, but a lady in England was in touch with a breeder in Oregon. Lacey flew from Oregon to Atlanta to Roanoke, VA to our waiting arms...but she was terrified. It took months for her to come around and now she is a loving girl. A baby.
Bio: Burmillas were considered a breed in 1984 by TICA but are mainly seen in Europe. They are not yet recognized by the CFA. They are considered an Asian breed...a combination of a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian. You've got to read those wonderful books to understand why we wanted a Burmilla so much. They are like "star gazey pie"!
