Fall is here!

I haven't written a diary entry in awhile. I still don't have a new brother or sister. I think I'm OK with it just being mom and me. The feral cats still come around, but are not very friendly. Mom is still working and leaves for awhile every day.

Speaking of leaves, they are really flying by my windows and the squirrels are running everywhere. There are lot's of interesting things to see in the fall.

Waiting for Sandy Claws

Mom says that Sandy Claws will be here in a few days. He will bring me lots of things if I am good. I'm always good!

I still don't have another brother or sister. Mom went back to work last year and that made things different. Mom feeds some feral cats that are on the outside of our house. She thinks that maybe one of the younger ones will become domesticated and we can take him in.

I'm keeping busy with lots of new toys and hope that Sandy brings me even more and maybe some catnip!

My brother went to kitty heaven

Mom came home today with tears in her eyes. She told me that my big brother Rebel went to kitty heaven today. Something called his kidneys failed. I will miss him so much. I have to take care of mom and show her that I care. Mom says she will get me another brother or sister in the spring. Kitties don't cry, but we still feel grief.

My big brother

My big brother had to stay at the vet's office for a week. I missed him very much. When he came home he smelled funny and his back and legs were shaved! Mom says he has something called diabetes. I don't know what that is but he eats different food now, and mom sticks him with a needle twice a day. Other than that he is still the same big brother. Sometimes he smacks me when he doesn't want to play! I hope he doesn't have to go away ever again.

Spring has sprung!

Well, it's finally getting warmer here again. Mom opened the windows, so I can sit by the screens and smell the outdoors. All those squirrels and birds sure are busy out there.

Electric Blanket

I have made a wonderful discovery. It is called an electric blanket. It is almost as good as the thing they call the heater vent! All cats should have one for these frosty winter nights.

Winter

Well, the leaves have been replaced by that fluffy white stuff they call snow. I can't catch it either. Mom brought some in the house and it was cold and wet. Yuck! Those squirrels still won't play. They sit on the other side of the window and tease me! Winter is frustrating for cats!

So many leaves, so little time!

I cannot catch all those leaves that are floating by my windows. I try, but they fall to the ground anyway. Those fat little squirrels will not come inside to play either. Fall is a frustrating time for us cats!
