Arrival Story:
He picked me out at the Providence Animal Rescue League, where he had come with his brothers at age 5 mos. One of his brothers had only three legs. Babu was in the back of the cage. As soon as he saw that we were going to open the door, he shoved his other brothers out of the way and headed for the door so we'd pick him. The staff referred to him as "the one who always purrs." He is pushy and demanding, but very sweet.

Bio:
He lives up to his name... a true Bengali Babu. He is incredibly curious. Everytime the dishwasher runs, he stares at it and paws at it -- trying to get at the dishwasher monster inside making those noises... We had a plumber come to install a toilet. Babu is not shy with strangers; he followed the plumber's every move like he wanted to learn to install a toilet himself... Over the summer, Derek painted the trim on the outside of our house. The weather was warm, and the windows were open. Babu stared at Derek all day long. Derek said, "I'd go to one side of the house, look up, and there was the cat in the window. Then I'd be on the other side of the house, look up, and there he was again. I feel like I'm being watched!"

People are soooo stupid. My human started feeding me "health cat food" instead of the normal stuff. It's pretty good, but I've been having some troubles in my box. So I guess the vet said only feed me a bland diet for a few days. I got three bowls on the floor -- one with chicken and rice, one with chicken, and one with... boiled sweet potato. Do they not understand that none of these options are CRUNCHY? I only like CRUNCHY. All day long I've been jumping on them, biting, rubbing, and sitting by the canister of CRUNCHY food. They're not getting it. Hell-oo! I want my food, okay? I don't want chicken, I don't want rice, I want THE CRUNCHY STUFF. Think I'll go sleep off my misery...
